Hope you are right Adsiron.  Sullivan and his agents, media pals are on a full blown PR mission to make Steidten and anyone but Sullivan the fall guy / scapegoat.

Steidten will be gone soon is my prediction unless Sullivan is reigned in by Kretinski and Tripp etc.

There’s some good posts on this thread but most seem to assume that Sullivan is the only person making decisions. I heard a while ago that the board as a whole, outvoted him on  something major. I now assume that was appointing a DOF - Steidten.

Then in a recent interview young Sullivan admitted that Steidten was interviewed separately by Kretinsky and his dad for a joint decision and that it was a “board decision.”

Sullivan is the largest shareholder but lacks overall control since Kretinsky and Tripp Smith arrived as shareholders used to getting their more professional management way. Sullivan’s reliance on agent pals and knee-jerk decisions on signings doesn’t quite fit the bill for a progressive club.

Steidten was over-ruled on Amorim and John Duran by Sullivan. Both were decisions that have not worked. The rest of the board are serious businessmen and not Gold and his family that used to let him get away with the bad choices.

I think the next decision will not just be a Sullivan whim nor knee jerk….

Yep Stubbo nails it and articulates it much better than my waffling posts. Especially the analysis of Sullivan. Loppy is simply the wrong man and fit for us based on the “bare bones ( down to the marrow) “ left by Sully and Moyes and his tactics / approach so ill suited to the forwards we have.  But also equally unsuited to being on the end of opposition counter attacks that his tactics invite regularly.

Faster build up and countering on our part will mean major surgery in central midfield though. That said, does anyone think that a central midfield could be found (2 pivot and one advanced ) from the “Snail collective” of Soucek, Rodriguez, Soler, Alvarez, Paqueta and Irvine?  Perhaps with deeper lying full backs you could pick ( try ) Alvarez, Paqueta deeper as more of an 8 not a 10 ( as he was at Lyon in his most successful season ) and put Kudus in the no 10 role?  That said, Alvarez and Paqueta will still be playing walking football just that they will have the insurance if Wan Bassaka and Emerson to help cover any fast counters.

So not necessarily the long term solution but got to be less suicidal than “LoppyBall” ?

Anyway, as mentioned before, Im pretty certain its gonna get worse before it gets better as has always been the case under Sullivan. Everton must see a huge opportunity for 3 points. Press us hard and we will give up plenty of chances. Their issue is taking them but nailed on that Calvert Lewin scores and they will have Brainthwaite back to stop us getting a sniff.  Sullivan wont sack him though. As Stubbo says, he needs to make clear none if the problems are his fault or responsibility and needs fan unrest to bubble up to “force” him relunctantly to get rid.  Everyone in the media then forgets who insisted on the appointment in the first place. Touche Dave 👍

Potter Early Favourite For Hammers Job

Graham Potter has been out of work for 18 months and appears to be waiting for the right opportunity before returning. He is the 7/4 favourite for the West Ham job with betting apps should Lopetegui be given the heave-ho.

Could Edin Be Heading To London?

It’s going to take a great opportunity to get the 42-year-old back in the game, and managing the Hammers in the Premier League could be that chance. Edin Terzic is 7/4 to replace Lopetegui.

Southgate Could Be Offered Route Back In

West Ham could be an option. Gareth Southgate is unlikely to land a role with one of the big six, but he would back himself to be in the mix for a job like this one.You can find odds of 2/1 on Southgate succeeding Lopetegui.

Ten Hag Has Unfinished Business

Erik ten Hag’s time in charge of Manchester United came to an end days after their 2-1 loss at West Ham, ironically enough.Ten Hag is 9/4 to become West Ham’s next manager.

Corberan Doing Fine Job At Hawthorns

West Ham are priced at 5/2 to appoint Carlos Corberan, whose West Brom team are currently sixth in the Championship.

Rodgers Would Be Hard To Attract

Brendan Rodgers seems to be committed to the Hoops for the time being, although he is priced at 7/2 to join West Ham.

New British Link For Knutsen

Kjetil Knutsen has been linked with several jobs in England and Scotland over the last few years, but he is still at Bodo/Glimt.Knutsen would be an interesting, if risky, choice for West Ham. He is priced at 4/1 to move to the London Stadium.

Conceicao Is Available If Hammers Want Him

Sergio Conceicao turns 50 on November 15 and he might be getting a call from the Hammers about a possible vacancy. Conceicao is 11/2 to be West Ham’s next manager.Other names in consideration include Rafael Benitez (6/1), Jose Mourinho (8/1) and former players Michael Carrick (10/1) and Mark Noble (18/1).
