US Election, November 5th

Post Sydney_Iron »

And a bit eerily and worryingly Bonfire night!!!! Let's hope it doesn't descend into that though 🤞

Never know an election be in the news so much, all over Aussie TV and expect the worlds TV as well, so many (non Septic's) have an opinion on it as well? WTF

fuck knows who wins, personally don't care as both sides seem like a pack of cunts, so IMHO there will be no winner for the American people, the best we can hope for is that one side wins convincingly and so less chance of it kicking off but i bet whomever wins none of the doomsayers predictions will come to pass in any shape or form, it will just be business as usual and snouts in the trough for those associated with the winning side.

America will still be a freak show and your average American no better or worse off than before.

Depends how you define "droves."

According to the  Edison Research/NEP exit poll for Reuters  86% of blacks (both sexes) voted for Harris. Doesn't leave a huge amount of black men, not voting for a black woman.
Other polls say closer to 80-20 for Harris but point stands...
The big jump election to election was the Hispanic vote for him, White went down a bit.

Also Other, rose sharpely, which includes much of  the Muslim vote.

It is a interesting breakdown.

Ffs. They just refuse to learn, don't they. Now got some Australian berk going on about it being because she's a woman.

Let's get one thing clear - if elected,  she would set women in politics back by 20 years. She is a fucking imbecile, a congenital idiot without a single discernable quality. Anyone who gives a shit about women actually having a future as leaders should be delighted today.

Cough to be fair to Coma, he is not the only one, there are plenty of idiots on here that have lapped up the lefts propaganda. In the end the American voters said “fuck you” to the main stream media and Democrat politicians for their constant witch hunt of Trump. Nobody likes a Gov’t that goes after its citizens like Putin. Hopefully it’s a lesson learned.

Truth is the left lost this election just as much as Trump won it with their far left policies, they need to remain more to the middle to stay palatable but they just can’t help themselves. Although “America first” by Trump was a big part of his success. People are not for open borders or globalism. The U K will be next, Expect Farage will be the calling the shots once the current mob get blown out in the next election.

What A great result! Anybody heard from Cappy?

I wonder if the penny has dropped for Pickle yet? Or do you think he will still listen to the MSM lies and propaganda? What is evident is the American public don’t.

Trump will go down as the ultimate underdog and a larger than life historical figure, it was years in the making, all created by a dishonest media and by the lying fuckwits known as the Democrat party.

oh the irony!

MAGA!

Enough that would rather vote for divisive Trump than for Harris, which would seem remarkable considering the racial tensions surrounding Trump as President.

I would love to see an female presidential candidate that wasn't either 1) amazing arrogant, with massive ties to war and amoral politcal wrangling or 2) an electorially unvetted scatterbrain who was just bad at campaigning.

I knew the Premier of our province politically back in the day and she is incredibly cutthroat but is a successful politician who is doing close to what I want in a government.  A person like that could be successful in the States I believe.

(Is that Tusli Gabbard?)

This shows incredibly ignorance about the facts of economic history.

If "the bank" is your primary motive, you don't buy for a way-above-what-it-is-worth Twitter and basically tell its main source of revenue (advertisers) to go pound sand.

You do what billionaires and millionaires before him did with elected governments, for decades even centuries.  You try to quietly donate money and then quietly get people close to whoever won. You don't make yourself a big bright figure, who can offend a prospective consumer/regulator. You just try to quietly  move economy towards what is best for your companies.  You are incredibly naive if you don't think that's not the path of most billionaire's political involvment.

Of course, Musk says stupid stuff, of course, of course, he has an ideological agend , and of course, he needs money for his companies.  But he knows, given his success, that there are better ways/easier ways to get contracts - just play ball with whoever wins.

so he's just happy that they'll no longer be supplied with the tools that give them a fighting chance, so they will now be more likely to surrender quicker? As it stood they were in a position of a stalemate at worst and could have maybe at least negotiated some sort of bittersweet peace deal, they won't get that now.

some Putin apologists do love the veil their support for him as faux concern for Ukraine
"Surrender quicker" as we all knew from the start it was a matter of 'when' and not 'if' they needed to negotiate. But for the sake the West (not the Ukraine) we got them to send them tens of thousands of their young to their deaths to make it more costly for Putin. But the outcome is the same: Russian speaking Ukraine will become Russian. We encouraged Ukraine to turn itself into a smoking ruin for nothing. The blood of their sons on the hands of our vain leaders as much as it is on Putin's. Poor Ukraine, they should have known better than to listen us.

What did I get wrong? I expected Trump to win because the Democrats had failed to even start reversing decades of protectionism and instead racked up a pile of debt. You can ask me to admit I am wrong when Trump does any better.
