Re: 6 Nations 2024
"Hilarious really, given the talk in the Irish media that they might have to fuck the 6 Nations off and join the Tri-Nations instead, as they have no worthy competitors anymore. This from a country who have never made it beyond the QF's in a world cup, and who's 3 best and most important players are Kiwis. Without the 3 year residenters Gibson-Park, Aki & Lowe, they'd be pretty average, in fact, without Lowe's kicking game alone they'd be half the side, I've never seen anyone better with the boot, constantly gets them out of trouble. England still got a long way to go, very to ask this Saturday, but very good signs for long term. One thing no one mentions is our horrendous luck with injuries, Ireland on particular are 100% focused on their national team and players are protected, not the case with us, and every time someone looks like getting a chance they break down. Couple that with the French based players, Arundel at FB and Willis would make a huge difference."

Ireland (and to a lesser extent Wales and Scotland) are never as good as they media would have you believe.

Re: 6 Nations 2024
My local pub is a “Rugby” pub. It was rammed on Saturday with about 20% Irish supporters. They normally end up winning and having an impromptu Irish disco afterwards as they drink like fucking fish. They were proper miserable fuckers at the end with no fucking grace. Loved it.

Lowlife... all dependent what game it is... London derby (v Sarries) then can be quite hard but everything we have applied for (normally couple of months out) we have got.... not in any memberships or anything.

Re: 6 Nations 2024
"This years 6 nations has come up with some brilliant games. Both of today's were pretty intense. Nacho Brex is a beast and it was great to see Garbisi laughing about the ball falling off the tee again and the nailing the kick that, effectively, won the game. Maybe Borthwick is finally getting it right at long last too."

Re: 6 Nations 2024
"If today's game is half as good as last nights U20s game it will be a hell of a contest... Borthwick team selection raised a few eyebrows but personally think its lot more adventurous... be lovely if its tight then Quins 8, 9, 10 combine off the bench to win the game..."

"I am expecting a cracking contest between England v Ireland tomorrow. Head saying, England's high press kicking game on home soil with the crowd behind them to get the win Great game in the U20s which ended in a draw tonight"

Some game in Lille yesterday.... Italians draw but have a great chance to win with last kick of the game... ball falls off tee... kick is rushed and hits the upright... 13-13. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/av/rugby-union/68398930

Re: 6 Nations 2024
I'm just a bit confused where we are going at the mo... I think Borthwick is setting up us with one game plan.. Blitz defence... that's it... that stuff the Saffas revel in but it is highly high risk stuff ... and when you get it wrong it looks comically shit. I've watched a bit of the prem this year and the Saints have been on fire... Spencer and Smith have been key to that with some great attacking running rugby... I hardly see Spencer kick for saints... and that's all I saw him do yesterday when he came on... need Marcus Smith back for me and Dombrandt at 8 with Earl replacing Roots who for me does not look cut out at the top top level... Oh and can you imagine the carnage of the Mick Kiwi Aki taking on Flakey lawrence in the next game... * sighs *
