Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

Their majority is so vast they won’t lose a minutes sleep over this. They will serve at least one full term, probably two given the size of the majority.36-38% voted for them. I wouldn't call that a majority
A majority of 156 seats, that’s what I call a majority.

Re: Woke watch
What’s the petition got to do with ‘woke watch’?
Its pointless anyway, even when it’s debated in parliament it will last about 30 seconds.

Always wondered why no blue hairdo type has kicked off about non Orientals using chopsticks.
Really not sure how it all works,is it OK for an Indian to wear a pancho and sombrero to a fancy dress do or will the pc mob be screaming about that. The rule makers need to be a bit clearer on what is OK and what gers them shrieking.

Re: Woke watch
This is possibly all "accidentally deliberate", drawing a line after a certain period, making it harder to compare like-for-like things today with how they were in the past.
Maybe life (in the UK/west) was better in the 1960/70s but those in power know they can't allow that to be set as a bar, or a target to be reached for again, as their vested interests have all but destroyed that possibility.

Advertising is all about point scoring in the eyes of the public now- or at least appeasing certain parts of the public with what they think they should be seeing- over and above the actual product you’re selling and whether it’s any good or not.

I remember reading ID, Face and even occasionally Vogue back in the 80s/90s and laughing out loud at the nuttiness of it all. The same spirit is being used to destroy classic brands.

Re: Woke watch
Some of the comments are gold though.
"imagine selling to a minority of a population and still targeting the wrong people"
"Half this lot should be running away from Jaguars not buying them"
"The only thing brave about this ad is to leave the comments section on....."

I thought the Jaguar thing was a hoax when i saw it, but it is actually for real.
I'd love to know who signed off that campaign and what they thought they were going to achieve.

£6.3m to name some tube lines.
I couldn’t care less what ridiculous names they give them, but just imagine the good you could do with £6m in London. Instead they’ve pissed it up the wall on this pointless shit.Yep!
Could house a couple of boat fulls of illegal - sorry, irregular - immigrants or police a couple of pro-Palestine marches.
Wouldn't get spent on employing extra street sweepers or mending pot holes & the like, so at least it wouldn't all be wasted. You'll be delighted to know that, unlike the last 13 years of Conservative government, holing them up in hotels and throwing money at Rwanda, for populous reasons, at great expense, the new Labour government has already sent 10 thousand of them back. (I know many on this forum are dismissive of any news from anywhere left of Hitler so here's even GB News reporting on it)...

Syria and a lot of other Middle Eastern/North African countries not mentioned as return destinations, I notice.
Wonder why that is - Labour just playing a numbers game, maybe?
