John Prescott Has Died

Post One Sunny Day »

Might not have always been the best politician but was never one to back down from a fight, in more ways than one. As well as giving that twat who chucked an egg at him a well deserved clump, remember him going on Top Gear and having a good old verbal battle with Jeremy Clarkson when he knew the audience wouldn't be on his side. R.I.P.

The idiot thought he had a right to throw the egg. He had to demonstrate the collective position that Prescott was “pompous” and “self-righteous”.

I was following through with that punch on that idiot who thought he could throw an egg and get away with it.

Mind you my punch wouldn't have made much difference.

Yep, seemed like a good one and an interesting bloke. Sort of fella that would be involved in a 'debate' in the kitchen at a party after midnight. Reached a good old age.

RIP.

Loads of respect for the bloke.

Can't think of a single instance where I would have backed him or his principles, but he stood or died on those principles and I probably would have enjoyed a debate over pint with him down a working-man's club.

RIP, big man.

I liked him a lot - showed you can have a working class, trade union background and principles you are ready to defend at the same time.

like him or loathe him, seemed one of the more relatable politicians in recent decades. Didn't mind sticking his big old head over the parapet on shows like HIGNFY
