Yeah with Scott Mcleish as his assistant
Fergie wrote a book a couple of years back called And sometimes the dog was busy.
It's about his life in non league football.

saw edgware had joined Kingsbury, nice little ground sjp.
Canons park was always a ridiculous idea money was never there to so it properly. The vicarage road ground share was disastrous and cost them a fortune to get out of
Chesham is a nice ground and they are in the conference south these days.and made a nice few quid from there televised cup game.
I was at Amersham a couple of weeks who are also going well at their level.
Scott Mcleish still turning out for Leverstock green at 50.
I love a bit of non league
The latest I heard ..the Stones had been granted approval for a new ground at the old master brewer site in Hillingdon ...just up the road.?.
I remember the ground share with Watford.. think DEV was at Watford FC around that time.

not seen them live for few yrs as in somerset now but look out for them every week.
Will be watching sat weeks fa cup game before the arsenal game.
lease at Ruislip has been a problem for a while be great to finally get own ground again
I'm looking forward to next Saturday Ernie as I'm going to both games.
There should be some news regarding the new ground in the coming weeks
The ground that Barnet now play in was more or less built by Wealdstone but financial problems meant it was never completed.
After laying idle for several years Barnet took over the lease before it was sold to them for a song by Harrow council, but that's another story.
Edgware and Kingsbury town now combined and playing at silver jubilee park with Hendon also playing there.

I enjoyed it, so am repeating it each season
Also have a MATE who plays in the Scottish Championship, so have a couple of signed shirts
.
Lovely ground Craven Cottage and great boozers in that area as well on the river.

Re: Who is your second team?
I don't have a second team but if the Hammers were not playing I used to sometimes go to see Brentford when they hovered between the 3rd and 4th tiers as I live in the area.
Also a mate from Yeovil used to come up to London a lot and if Yeovil were playing near by we used to meet up with him and watch them.

Classic trolling....Some of our best periods were when we were in the second tier. Just my opinion of course.
Happy to nicely debate on here or over a glass of wine.

Re: Who is your second team?
I lived in Ostermalm Stockholm (very posh area) for 2.5 years and Djurgarden's stadium was a 15 min walk. They won the AllesSvenken that year. So I would say they are my second team. Then after that Lyon as I worked there of 15 months from 2000-2001. I saw 3 Champions League games at the Stade de Gerland v Arsenal, Bayern and Moscow.

I'd really 10 times more Ladysmith posts if we could swap them for all of Milly's crap.

Re: Who is your second team?
Dagenham & Redbridge, or Dagenham as they were at the time. My mum wouldn't let me go to WH on my own/with friends, so a mate suggested them. A more acceptable journey on a couple of buses from Hornchurch, rather than that scary old Tube where I would most likely die.
Used to follow the fortunes of Ajax Cape Town after living there for a year and seeing them a few times, but they folded back into Cape Town Spurs a couple of years ago and now I don't even know what division they're in.
Just checked - relegated last year. Splendid.

Ernie
I used to do the same when West Ham were away
only I also watched some other local sides (Edgware & Kingsbury town)
Lower mead was sold of to Tesco and then followed a short lived disastrous ground share at vicarage road
They play at Ruislip manors old ground at the moment but looking to build a new stadium on the old Master brewer hotel site in Hillingdon
Pearcey was at the Rochdale game on Saturday
