I don't have to justify Devonshire in the squad him because I never chose him but he for sure gets in over Martin Chivers, which was your argument and not knowing that they play in different positions i.e. one's a striker and Devonshire is an attacking/creative midfielder.

I liked him because he was very reliable and dependable. A highly professional steady Eddie. 

Glen Johnson as a Right Back was better though.

I'd have Kenny Sansom over Neville and Ray Wilson was world class.  Definitely have Bryan Robson, Tom Finney, Martin Peters, Stanley Matthews and Kevin Keegan and there is probably an argument for Shearer as well.
