Steve Cooper Sacked by Leicester!

Post Sydney_Iron »

After only 15 games in charge following loss to Chelsea! Leicester not fucking about, but does seem a tad harsh, maybe stuff going on behind closed doors, as didn't think he was doing too bad considering what he had to work with.

Makes Lopi look even worse considering our squad, resources and position only 2 points above the foxes, but you never know a loss against Newcastle, and he may also get shown the door as well, we do seem to have reached that stage in the season......

The media (pundits) clearly loved Moyes because he "kept us in our place", meaning that they needed to offer us no more than lip-service during commentary on our games and using every opportunity to mention at least one of their darlin' 6.

Were we to become regular contenders for a European place, they'd have to put themselves out and research our history in more depth to pad out the commentary on our games...

...mind you, that would then require Sullivan to dip into his "Media Budget" to contribute to the obvious "Payola" going on that gets certain teams a mention in games in which they have no involvement whatsoever.

Think they may end up regretting that.
It was always a myth that Moyes was a manager that Teams would jump at the chance of getting.

Leicester clearly ain't interested in him and neither were Wolves, Palace and Southampton right in the shit, who would rather persevere with their manager's than ditch them for a so called relegation specialist.

All his thicko old pals act in the Media can't understand why no Club these day's want his brand of mind numbing Football.

Out of sheer desperation though and his strong connections to Everton, I can see him ending up back there. Would love to see that go pear shaped if it did.

Great player but a few months as Ten Hags assistant and a few games in charge when ETH got the boot has got him a plum PL job, just goes to show experience goes out the door when it comes to ex "big name" players getting jobs.

I may well be wrong and he's the next messiah but good luck Leicester with this appointment.

A win/win for Ruud, if it all turns to custard a nice fat contract to terminate and no doubt another club will be desperate enough to take a punt (just ask Lampard about that!), if he succeeds by keeping them up then will replace Amorim if it all goes tits up with ManU.

Sydders - Agree to an extent, but RVN did do well at PSV, so he's not a complete rookie. It is a gamble though and IIRC Leicester sacked managers in the season they last went down. Will be interesting to see how he goes.

Gary Monk? Cooper is better than him. He will get a good Championship club, I'm sure. Nobody's fool, Cooper.

Not good news for us..
they'll be bouncing for our game next Tuesday .
Be interesting to see how it's works out for shergar .
Maybe. I'm hoping it'll be too much upheaval for their to be any kind of manager bounce by the time we face them, or they get it against Brentford Saturday and then reality kicks in once they face us coming in to some decent form.
We'll be his first home game..😁

I think his Forest links did for him from the off

Yes he was good..
I liked Roger Milford back in the day too.
Collina will always be the  benchmark for referees.

Whenever England had him , you knew he'd be fair and took no nonsense.

Kind of surprised by this. Leicester are not usually quick to get rid of managers and were always going to struggle, this season. They're still out of the relegation zone and losing 2-1 to Chelsea is hardly the end of the world.
