"Mex - Yep, we have goals in the team so have a good chance. Serious shit now the mundane group games are over, will be a good look for the club to be in the QF of this comp."

"i agree it looks tougher than in the group, but had a look at there recent stats, 9th in the league, DLWDD, 38-48 possession, lower shots on goal than opposition, shipped quite a lot of goals last five games = goals for 9 against 9. With our new front line we should be OK. Thanks Charley"

"This is going to be a tough game, make no mistake. I'd be worried that our dodgy CB's are going to fuck up."

"I love these European games on Thursday nights under the lights, they seem to have a more positive atmosphere than a lot of the PL games. My ST is in row 60 so these games ae a great opportunity to get tickets much closer to the pitch and take my son and a couple of mates."

Will be interesting to see how Moyes approaches this. I think most likely we'll take little risk and be happy for a draw. Can't see any line up change. No reason to shoehorn Philips in.

"Sir Alf 7:30 Mon Mar 4 Let them sit back at home and let us take the game to them. Paq, Mo and Jarrod, backed up by Eddy Alvarez, Tom (who's form has finally picked up) and Emerson will have a field day. If we can keep the entire first eleven fit (maybe Fab for Fonz - we've got two great goalies and Angelo is still good enough if he wants to rest Zuma's knee) we've got a really good team. If we lose a player through injury, particularly Paq, we're fucked. Besides the players I've already mentioned, our bench is shockingly short of guile. Maybe Europe is where we'll get to see the real Philips? You know he's in there somewhere."

"Same starting line up as prior two wins I hope. I hope for the win but would be fine with a draw and take them out at LS next week. As said on other posts, this won’t be the same Freiburg as before and a lot tougher."

Freiburg have only this chance to lighten up this season. I expect them to give of their best over both legs.

Surely this lot can’t be as passive as they were when they came to our place in December they didn’t look interested in winning the game at all .I expect them to be more intense this time.

"No really easy games in the last 16. I’m looking forward to this one and just hope that we ‘turn up’. As group winners, we do have a ‘probable’ advantage, in playing the home game as the second leg. ⚒⚒"

"Freiberg you would expect, will be ready for us this time in terms of understanding Moyesball and that we thrive against teams that have lots of possession and press high to allow us to trigger the quick counter. If they're coach is tactically astute, he will sit his team deeper and let us have the ball a bit more and see if we can break them down as we tend to struggle with that and get caught out ourselves. But if that is not something they have done regularly they may not find they are that good at it? Dont know enough about them tbh but they seem to have been playing ok in the league? What's for sure, is that is doesnt follow that because we beat them last time out that it will just be a repeat."
