And in case some of you haven't noticed, it means that 95% of those eligible to vote haven't yet signed the petition. And this assumes that all those signing are legitimate voters. I think it has a long way to go before its supporters should get too excited. However, I suspect they will,

The petition to revoke article 50 got over 6 million votes and was dismissed out of hand. Never seen the point of these petitions. At the end of the day, Labour have got a healthy majority, are under no obligation to call an election for 4 and a half years so this will be dismissed out of hand too. Not the biggest fan of Starmer, personally but he's being smart. Making all the unpopular decisions right after he's gained power and playing the long game. He knows that if he gets the economy at least moving in the right direction by the end of his 5 years, cutting fuel allowance to some pensioners and making a few whiney farmers pay inheritance tax will soon be pushed into the background and largely forgotten by most voters.
