Not sure about ‘new-found’ in relation to Spurs - goes back at least to the 90s, and I’d think before. Due mainly to rarely being in the same league as Millwall for most of the time since, added to them nicking a lot of our good players (Peters, Allen, Defoe, Kanoute, Carrick, Parker, etc…), the Essex co location with the fans, and the fact that they’re massive bell ends. 

Every London club dislikes Spurs (apart from maybe  Fulham)

No issue with disliking them.

I dislike them. I dislike Chelsea and Arsenal too.

But hatred is reserved for Millwall.

Out in the real world, I have many friends who support all different teams, especially London teams. When it comes to talking football with them, though, Spurs supporters are pretty much the only ones I have to give a wide berth to in that respect. Even Arsenal and Chelsea supporters I can have a vague and civil conversation about football with. Got a Fulham mate who makes me have a soft spot for his team with his humble and dedicated attitude to them.

Don't think I've ever met a Spurs supporter though who doesn't turn into an arrogant, stupid cսnt when it comes to talking football, though. Even Tottenham mates who are good mates turn into complete pricks when it comes to football. They seem obsessed with West Ham and their football support seems more based on West Ham living rent free in their head than supportering their own team. It's hard to imagine a Spurs fan making me have a soft spot for their team, let alone making me call them my second team.
