"Having played these twice and beaten them both times, and therefore having the luxury of knowing how absolutely limited they are, not going out there looking to put us a couple of goals ahead going into the 2nd leg is pathetic, and classic of this dullard manager. We treated them like Real Madrid. They are shit."

"They were poor, losing to them is a shocking result. Zouma so bad for the goal JWP so bad Soucek fucking useless at passing again and didnt touch the ball again in the 10 Paqueta giving the ball away constantly Kudus running into trouble When we do keep the ball it just pings around the back 4 and JWP and Soucek till it makes its way to Kudus or Bowen and they try beat someone 1 v 1. Its either that or Coufal crossing the ball, thats the only way we attack. Never get the strikers 1 v 1, no link up play, no one in the 10 getting in the hole......half turn.....break the line and hurt them with the ball No subs yet again, could see Paqueta was having a stinker again yet doesnt change it at all. The game was there to be won and we don't make any attempts to win it.....again. Antonio getting 3 mins whats the point? Chuck a kid on last 10 or 15 with no fear to try and get a goal? People think Moyes out is simply posession based and it isn't theres so much more to it"

Not only did Alvarez give the ball away he then followed the ball instead of checking his run on the edge of the box and marking the space which allowed there player to have time and space for a free shot . zouma switched off for a split second when the expected cross didn’t come in and was caught out by the scuffed shot.

"So if they were1 down in injury time they wouldn't have got that penalty, especially after VAR directed the Ref? How about Liverpool or PSG ( as already happened v Newcastle) No penalty?"

"Apparently it wasn't a penalty because the Freiburg player kicked it first and it then hit Soucek and bounced up. Personally I don't think it should have been a pen anyway. Soucek was behind him. How is the bloke to know he's going to kick it up to his hand? The way things are these days they're going to have to tie the players hands behind their backs. I don't see what's wrong with the ref just using their eyes and common sense to judge whether it's deliberate handball or not. I know they'll get it wrong sometimes but better that than this bollocks of waiting 5 mins for a decision. In any case, we shouldn't have needed a pen to get something out of that game. They were there for the taking. If Moyes had the bottle to make an attacking sub during the 2nd half when we were way on top but not clinical enough in front of goal then we'd have probably won it."

"Media say the penalty descion was harsh. I didn't think it was a penalty. Thought we were the better team, but they got the goal against the run of things. They really struggled to creat anything, we had better chances but didn't score. If they sit back and defend in the bowl, we will really struggle to win this."

"It was Alvarez who made the bad pass not Dinos.. Zouma's bad defending cost us the goal anyway, Alvarez's bad pass gave them possession.. A weak shot was allowed past and their striker profited from it.. Zouma could have stopped it but didn't..."

"Getting tired of Paqueta trying to do all the flash stuff, too many times he lost possession and put us on the back foot because he didn’t make the easy play. The Bubble cost us the goal with his awful pass, he also seems to be developing a habit of just missing. Not sold on him yet. Kudus played well as did Bowen and Phillips did well when he came on. Going into next weeks game as a must win with multiple goals needed gives the players a real opportunity to show us all and the manager just how good they are. I’m expecting us to win by 3 or 4 and an all out attacking style."

"Sold - Taking emotion out of it you might have a point, it was close to being a well organised draw away in Europe and I see others have said similar. However, I do think the opponent should come into the equation and this is not a good side. Once again Moyes showed the oppo too much respect and made them look like prime Barcelona and we only really started going for it after they had scored. I truly hope we don't regret this, 'coz going out to this lot in the round of 16 would be a frigging disaster."

Thought it was a half decent European away performance... the type that LFC and NFFC would put in during the 70s... draw written all over it until Zouma had his usual cat nap... and I'm sorry the ref has 100% bottled it there... never mind they wont stand a prayer second leg

"I'm not as confident as some are next week. Are they shit? Yes, they are, but they are still capable of frustrating us and nicking something against our clowns at the back. An early(ish) goal is vital IMO or I can see a very ugly night. We also need Paqueta and Kudus to find some end product. One positive is the away goal rule has been scrapped, as that would have made it even more difficult."

"happygilmore 2:22 Fri Mar 8 ''I really feel cheated out of 90 mins of my life watching that'' Try getting get out of bed at 3am to watch the dross that this cսnt serves up, or worst still going over there! I see the cսnt is now harping on about the pen and ignoring the rest of the shit. Fuck off cսnt, we were shit again and all you did was put Phillips on. Glad we never got the pen. On another note, Kudus is beginning to remind me of Adama Traore."

It was freezing and a mare to get back to town if you didn’t get on the first shuttle buses. We were pretty poor and still could have won with the chances we carved out.

"didn't see the game, Knowing Moyes he will be ok with a narrow loss. Nowhere to hide at home though, won't have the luxury of sitting back we need to go for it. Our season likely rests on the next game."
