Woke watch
"There is a very good section on GB news where the ludicrous idiocies of Wokeness are looked at I thought we would should have one for WHO. I'll start with Baptiste on BBC: In Hungary,an ambassador's family are kidnapped by Islamic terrorists and carry out atrocities. At the end of the last episode Baptiste finds out that it is a false flag operation and conveniently, the real culprits are white supremacists who want to stop all immigration. Coronation Street ITV a gay black footballer is stopped by the police, because he is driving an expensive car. He is pushed to the ground during an altercation, and damages his leg threatening his career. Could have been written by Dawn Butler or a BLM activist."

Oh for the days of chivalry, dragons, damsels in distress and magic swords when knighthoods really meant something.

Can only think he has refused a Knighthood as surely he should be front of the queue
Truly inspiring guy
And Sadiq Kunt is getting one before him?
Astounding
He's got an MBE, OBE and last year got a CBE. I'd imaging a knighthood will follow at some point.

Clearly a man of principle, I’m sure you have something of value you could sacrifice to demonstrate the strength of your feelings?

I'm told that the 08:37 from Gidea Park to Liverpool Street ran on time once, 3 years ago.
Surely deserves more that a knighthood by itself, that.
Don't let the palace door hit you on your way out, Chuck.

What's this shit supposed to be? A joke? FFS, if this site was a human body, you'd be a dose of bad Anti-Immune Disorder and no mistake, only even less funny.

No such thing as bad publicity.
I mentioned Gillette, Budweiser and Harley Davidson in an earlier post. Do you think they would agree with you that there is no such thing as bad publicity.
Silly person.
Exactly. Not only is there clearly such a thing as bad publicity, but to double down on poor advertising by insulting the people that have called it out, is completely retarded publicity.

Re: Woke watch
Isn't the sole purpose of advertising to increase sales?
Don't give me all that bollocks about product "awareness" - no fucking good if everybody is aware of Coca-Cola but still drink Pepsi in preference.

Re: Woke watch
It’s interesting how anti woke people are inadvertently keeping the Jaguar brand at large due to their outrage at the recent advert’s content.
Job done for the advertiser who clearly realises that there is no such thing as bad publicity.

Re: Woke watch
There is literally nothing about that Jag ad that baits me - I think it’s an excellent piece of work in keeping with the disruptive brand quality it is intended to deliver. What’s the agency? I’m sure they’re going to win loads of awards.

Yes, because BMW and Mercedes owners are also famously gay, trans, lesbian, queer, black and disabled. Those that aren't aspire to be.

It's now coming out that Noussair Mazraoui refused to wear a rainbow jacket on Sunday when Man Utd played, because of the fairy tale he believes in.
Love it.

Re: Woke watch
I only said it looks OK, I didn't suggest I wanted to buy one.
My point is that without the advertising campaign they might have had half a chance of flogging a few. Now they'll find they're in the Gillette/Budweiser/Harley Davidson type of brown stuff.

SurfaceAgentX2Zero wrote: ↑04 Dec 2024, 11:56 The actual Jaguar cars actually look OK, even in the slightly soppy colours they've chosen. The Miami pink thing does make sense, although I'm completely at sea with blue for London creatively. One for a girl, one for a boy, innit?
The actual problem is the new logo - very silly, and the massively explosive, gay, woke, customer-alienating, straight white male-baiting, pile of McKnight that is the advertising campaign.
How many people praising to the heavens Jaguar's new offering will actually be buying one? How many have put down an off-plan deposit to be an early owner?
Let's not forget, Jaguar is a business (not a branch of some LGBT+ faction) and businesses do things in order to make money - nothing more, nothing less.
So. All those creaming themselves over the concept, let's see your invoices from Jaguar for the car.
Personally, I find it more bland than a thread about cooking on a football fans' website, but that's just me.
