I watched the replay otf their goal a couple of times and it was a soft goal to give away. Zouma looked like he was stuck in mud in the queue for the toilets at Glastonbury and Fabianski was chasing a crisp packet in the wind. Kurt Zouma has been a professional footballer for half his life and we are playing him in the wrong half. Fabianski is 39. You hit a hard shot in the corner and he's not going to dive for that.

Overall a dissapointing night. The away days also seem have gone a bit flat compared to the likes of Sevilla and Lyon. Maybe we have got used to it. Maybe it's the weather. If you fail to take golden chances and your defender falls asleep you are going to lose. No tactics will overcome that.

"I completely forgot we were playing last night until 10:30. I'm putting it down to Moyesball having me drop in and out of a semi state of unconsciousness. That makes me no less qualified to comment on the return leg as Moyesball is like a broken record once you've seen Moyesball once it's groundhog day. I can't say I was flabbergasted at the result. Moyesball will continue in the 2nd leg as Moyes wont want to concede first otherwise there maybe no way back. They will their own German efficient brand of Moyesball and won't be fazed by the stadium as been before. Can we break them down, who knows? Their keeper looks decent, if he does a Tomaszewski were out."

"It's half time and we're 1-0 down. All of a sudden we've been given 60000 home fans to cheer us along. We need to show these cunts that we can make some serious noise, we outclassed them when we played them at home last time, let's get behind the team and do it again. I don't give a fuck about Moyes and his negativity but I do give a fuck about West Ham."

"Paqueta was shit last night. We should be expecting our WINGERS to be much better than that, he should hang his head in shame. Just when we were about to nick the Liverpool song about Salah as well. Paq-ue-ta, Paq-ue-ta, Paq-ue-ta Running down the WING Come on son, start running down that wing like you do for Brazil, and like you've done at all your previous clubs."

"Can see us not being too gung ho from KO next week. We're only a goal down so can see us Keeping it fairly tight for the first half whilst trying to nick a goal, and then upping the tempo after HT. If we go chasing the game from the off and concede on the counter attack it would be disastrous being 2 down."

I thought that the TNT commentary was very odd last night... talked Freiburg down at every opportunity to the extent that it was deemed an impossibility that they could score whereas we were portrayed as Footballing Masters in total control of the match. We looked comfortable up to a point but their goal was no surprise (to me)!

It's highly unlikely that Freiburg will have the same shocking start Brentford did especially defending a 1-0 lead from the first leg.......hope they do though so you can do your Sohohoho strut..........

"Pacqueta had a very poor game Bowen was poor first half Kudus seemed a bit in and out, although should have had 2 assists One thing I don't get is regardless of how a game is panning out, why does Moyes never switch our front 3 until half way though the second half. They all got more joy when they were moved around. On Pacqueta, having seen his reaction to getting subbed previously, I think Moyes is scared to hook him too soon"

"I was surprised (I have no idea why) how much we sat back and invited them on to us. I've always thought that we play more on the front foot away in Europe. I think though that Freiburg haven't been given enough credit. Okay they were a bit robotic but they constantly pressed the ball in twos and threes and never gave us any time on the ball, Paquita especially. They starved Paq, Mo and Bowen meaning they all had a quiet night. In many ways it was blueprint plan on how to play against us. Just don't let any of our three footballers have the ball. When teams defend on the front foot like that we really need Tommy to play further up the pitch as another outlet rather than play almost like a third centre back. It's as frustrating as hell but at least we have to attack them from the off next Thursday."

"As soon as they scored Antonio should have come on, but instead he brings on a DM for a more creative midfielder and puts Antonio on in Injury time, baffling to say the least."

A negative approach against a team we beat twice in the group games. That attitude deserves the ludicrous ref decision at the end to deny an obvious pen Presume on Sunday we will be defending our area resolutely while wearing brown shorts against the might and power of Burnley FC

Jaan Kenbrovin 12:10 Tue Mar 5 Re: ‚ö? SC Freiburg v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview Will be interesting to see how Moyes approaches this. I think most likely we'll take little risk and be happy for a draw. Can't see any line up change. No reason to shoehorn Philips in. ‚Äî‚Äî‚Äî‚Äî‚Äî Only thing I got wrong was it will be interesting to see how Moyezzzz approaches this. It was obvious what this boring cսnt was going to serve up. The only positive is at least he can‚Äôt play the same way at home.

"Team selection for Sunday will be interesting. Priority should be EL so I would rest Paqueta (who was looking tired), Emerson (probably unavailable anyway) and Zouma. I'd start Scarles at LB but obviously Moyes will waste the opportunity and play Cresswell. Give Antonio a game to get him up to speed as he will probably be needed off the bench next week."

"They were there for the taking but a tactically inept performance again together with an inability to use subs throws it away. Did he put the youngsters on the bench as a treat or are we really devoid of a youngster who can make a difference? Playing for a draw in a game we should have wrapped up is not good enough, when will the trash in our boardroom recognise fans do not invest time, energy and money in watching rubbish like this??"

'I thought the subs were fantastic again. Antonio was great' Barely any time. Actually came on and done the best pass i have ever seen him do! Antonio and other subs were needed much sooner. Paqueta should have been withdrawn after 60 mins. Is it tactical to stick our best creative player furthest forward? He is so much more effective deeper. Seems to go up top when he is knackered and it doesn't work for us. I thought Freiburg were pretty poor. We need to be better and much more intense next week. Playing for the draw always carries this risk.
