Next 5 games | How many points?
So Lopetegui finally has his run of 'winnable' games:
Leicester (A) - 3 points
Wolves (H) - 3 points
Bournemouth (A) - 1 points
Brighton (H) - 1 points
Southampton (A) - 3 points
Before we get fucked by the fixture list either side of New Year's (Liverpool into Man City).
11 points, unbeaten in 5, and taking some form into the New Year has to be the target/acceptable outcome. Less than 3 wins here should be totally unacceptable. Would leave us at half way on 26 points, in line to match last season's 52 point finish (9th), but with a springboard to challenge higher if the team is getting it's act together (and another striker fit).
How do you all see these results going?

Agree with NYC Hammer here. Same results. 4 from the next 5 would be the expected return. More than that outperformance.

An optimistic......................7 points.
C&B specs on though, but fuck it it, if your heart don't think we can win or at least get a point from some of these games, then may as well throw the towel.

Spot on. I said elsewhere I was hoping to get 10 points in the next 6 matches after the Arsenal game.

This happens every season we are in trouble, we look at the next 5, had we looked at 6 before Leicester we'd all have said 3 points. Those in the next 5 are also in trouble and are probably looking at us as 3 points they have to get; and as we know, West Ham are a charity for the struggling clubs we often dish out 3 points to those less fortunate than ourselves
Re: Next 5 games | How many points?
After the Leicester Game who knows:
With Loppy in charge:
Leicester - 0 points
Wolves (H) - 3 points
Bournemouth (A) - 0 points
Brighton (H) - 1 points
Southampton (A) - 1 point
Bournemouth and Soton will be looking at our back line and drooling. Reckon we may get a point at one of them fixtures though, most likely Soton We should be beating Wolves too but it'll be do or die for O'Neil or he'll already be gone by then so who knows.

And don't get me started on his PKs.
All the fan's fault ofc.
Who said it was the fans fault?

Re: Next 5 games | How many points?
I suspect that, sooner or later, most people are going to realise that this is a "Bedding in/Getting to know you" season - we won't be relegated (unless at least 4 of the teams below us have a collective rush of blood) and I doubt that we'll make the top half of the table, either.
No, I don't like the thought either, but with 1/3 of the season gone already and an FA Cup tie against a better PL team to look forward to, that's probably about the most realistic option/outcome.

The same way as everyone else. It's totally ignored by officials and has become part of the game, happens everywhere in every match.

Re: Next 5 games | How many points?
Arsenal's corners are becoming 'undefendable'' I don't recall Rice being so good at them when he was here.
Monday's game truly looks like an El Sackio now, if they are both still in a job.
