Saturday/Midweek football

Post Coffee one sugar »

It’s a busy week ahead in the Premier League.

BRENTFORD vs LEICESTER CITY (1500)
Ruud van Nistelrooy starts his managerial career with a tricky visit to Brentford. It’s obviously a bid to keep the Foxes away from the relegation places. Mid-table Brentford seem to be safe from all that for now and will have to play well to stop what’s likely to be resurgent visitors’ new manager bump. Draw.

CRYSTAL PALACE vs NEWCASTLE (1500)
Palace are second from bottom and maintain their desire to play a particular way. Newcastle, meanwhile, can play any way they want when they play us. Boring game in store. Draw.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs IPSWICH TOWN (1500)
Back in August, most people would have had this down as a six-pointer. Not any more, with Forest knocking on the Euro places and the Tractor Boys knocking on the Championship places. Home win.

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs BOURNEMOUTH (1500)
A fabulous result last week saw Wolves climb out of the drop zone, while the Cherries continue to consolidate their top flight status. Draw.

WEST HAM UNITED vs ARSENAL (1730)
The BBC asks, Could win at Newcastle be Lopetegui turning point? It won’t be just the BBC that grapples with that question. It could well be, but at the same time we all know that it could equally well not be. Arsenal are, for their supporters, maddeningly inconsistent with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their last six outings. Let’s hope this will become three defeats at the end of today. Turning point ahead? Home win.

SUNDAY

CHELSEA vs ASTON VILLA (1300)
Not so long ago, Villa were top of the table. Now they’re in eighth spot, but still very much in touch with the top four. Chelsea, meanwhile, are top four and will look to leapfrog Brighton – yes, Brighton – into second this afternoon. Home win.

MANCHESTER UNITED vs EVERTON (1300)
Just three places separate these two, but you feel that the force is with the hosts. The Toffees are still battling to escape the clutches of the bottom three, a fight that’s likely to go on for much of the season. Home win.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs FULHAM (1300)
Fulham have disappointed of late, yet there’s just a solitary point between these two. Both have been inconsistent, which make this game very hard to predict. Home win.

LIVERPOOL vs MANCHESTER CITY (1600)
I wonder if the media have noticed this fixture? And what on earth has happened to Man City? A great chance for Liverpool to cement their eight-point lead at the top. Walk on. Home win.

TUESDAY

IPSWICH TOWN vs CRYSTAL PALACE (1930)
Fearful times ahead for Palace. Home win.

LEICESTER CITY vs WEST HAM UNITED (2015)
Hmm. Dunno. Draw.

WEDNESDAY

EVERTON vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (1930)
A definite six-pointer. Draw.

MANCHESTER CITY vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST (1930)
City get back to winning ways. Home win.

NEWCASTLE UNITED vs LIVERPOOL (1930)
Away win.

SOUTHAMPTON vs CHELSEA (1930)
Away win.

ARSENAL vs MANCHESTER UNITED (2015)
Home win.

ASTON VILLA vs BRENTFORD (2015)
Home win.

THURSDAY

FULHAM vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (1930)
Away win.

BOURNEMOUTH vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (2015)
Draw.

Oh for sure. Thing is though, his head's clearly gone by reacting. He's going out of his way to react, rather than just shrug it all off. He just doesn't get it it and yes I can sympathise with that as they are all just so Spursy but come on, have a bit more thicker skin that that.

To walk the width of the pitch after the game to have it out with travelling Away fans over justified criticism for a shocking performance ain't on. To also eye ball them for justified criticism straight after the Ipswich Home defeat recently is ridiculous. And although he didn't like to hear Ladyboy behind the dugout at the time for not wanting them to win against City so Arsenal could likely win the League is so naive.

But yes, fuck 'em all, as it's great fun watching on as they fight like rats in a sack.

Does everyone remember that game last season where all their fans applauded Fat Ange's side for bravely losing 0-4 at Home to Chelsea last season? Guess what their next fixture is... 🤣

I'm not against managers giving a bit back, and I doubt the Spurs fans are either, but once that happens it only has one ending. Sunday could be interesting.

He's got plenty of previous now in just the last 6 months of eyeballing the wankers as if he wants to offer them out...

I mean sure, a part of me can't blame him at all for wanting to chin the lary cunts but then again, I'm also not charged to be their manager. 😂

So in that regard, he's out of fucking order and well pdd behaviour. And clearly the pressure of it all has got to him where he's lost the fucking plot.

I said Imposternoclue was a fraud last season and was only a matter of time before it went sour and to think the soppy fans and the media were far too busy noshing him off to see it...

Would be interested to hear what was said by the Spurs cսnt that made him react.
With their up and down form you could see this ending sooner rather than later.
Think it’s all been on the slide since he called out the dismal cunts for wanting to lose to Man City to stop Arsenal winning the league.

A hot blooded Aussie will find it hard to not react to that type of abuse, suspect the writing is on the wall now and Levy will be in the market for yet another manager soon.

A manager who loses at home to Ipswich as well as loses to Palace and Bournemouth with their squad and just 5 points ahead of us after having a year and a half head start on us? No thanks! They can keep Postenoclue.
Beat City 4-0 away.
At a time when everyone was beating them as well.

Nice easy home game against Chelsea next on Sunday on the telly. 🍿

The site has gone. Finished. Time to fuck off.
How many times have you trotted this line out over the years Manuel?🤣 Yet your here nearly every day, think you have had a few sabbaticals and disappeared for a while, but you always come back often with new username, how many is it now? (BC, PD come to mind), not sure why you think "its gone' whatever that means, its basically the same bunch of people on here that have been around for decades now..........Ladysmith isn't new, maybe username but that's it😑
Should all cunts be banned (dangerous game Manuel).

Also I'm not the only mod and frankly would rather not be, but we're short on numbers (we'd welcome enquiries from the more sane established posters who might like to help).

Also, should all 'wind up' threads be deleted? Should all posters of wind up threads be banned?

Trying to understand what the 'line' should be. Thoughts? E.g. we have a thread started about a preference for Liverpool to win the title as opposed to City. Instant ban?

Personally i don't think anyone should be banned UNLESS they are being Racist or its some kind of hate/threats they are spewing🤮 Same with threads, unless they are posting up multiple threads, like the Bummer used to do back a few years ago, then if its spammy then it soon drops off the main page with little or no response or gets some attention and on occasion can be amusing, some with Politics, not sure why the Brexit thread got locked, not that i posted on it or even opened it very much, seemed to have the same half dozen on here going round and round in circles trying to outsmart each other of abusing each other.
Not sure why some get uptight about other posters, if you think someone's a cսnt just ignore, its not difficult, but spewing out you want them banned probably just feeds the ego of the said poster, you're basically giving them the attention they want😏

WHO is a rarity in this day and age, most every other forum i frequent i have had warnings and bans from overzealous MOD,s who act like total cunts or get offended on other behalf for stuff on WHO that wouldn't even raise an eyebrow, hats off to Stubbo and others who run it and migrated it across from the old site👍
I was under the impression that we all (ALL) had the ability to "Foe" a poster we don't like, meaning that when you (YOU) do, you (YOU) don't see anything from the poster you've (YOU again) "Foe-ed".

Is that not the case or is that just not good enough for "proper" WHO posters and public humiliation is the only sensible, adult solution here?
What I affectionately like to call, the marc-vivien approach.
