Jean Clair Todibo...
Jean Clair Todibo...
Supposedly told the Club via Scarf that he's off if Lopetegui remains.
Given how coveted a player he was, and the fact we're committed to spending 40m on him, I'd suggest that adds more leverage than it should (lose 20m binning off an unhappy player or 10m binning off the manager whose underperforming anyway).
Would love to be a fly in the wall in the board meeting when Steidten present what is no doubt some kind of 'get rid' dossier.
Omnishables.

Re: Jean Clair Todibo...
You can’t have players giving the manager a smack
Every club has falling outs between players & with managers but it sounds like Loppy is managing to fall out quite seriously with a few
Suspect he will be the ex manager fairly soon so maybe a reset of sorts
Same old West Ham circus
Wont change til Sullivan & Brady are out the door

Re: Jean Clair Todibo...
We've always been a dysfunctional Club full of fucked drama down the years, much like the current Todibo/Lopetegui situation that's in keeping with our Clubs tradition. This latest fucked up situation shouldn't come as a surprise and to suggest otherwise would be disingenuous.
I don't always see it as a negative either as I think it's partly what makes us unique and separates us from the boring nothing Clubs that exist with little going on by comparison. Makes us interesting. And sometimes good can actually come of it.

We are not fucked up by any measure but fuck me we make hard work of things!!! Replacing Moyes was classic West Ham fuckaboutery.....With the ideal candidate (Amorim) within our grasp, but we eventually passed.........
Todido is French so maybe a moody fucker as is the MO with a lot of them, bags of talent but the Spaniard doesn't seem to know how to handle or even play him, no wonder he's getting frustrated.

There are also stories about his negative influence in the locker room. Hard to tell what's true and what's pinned on him due to his erratic behaviour when he was younger. In his interviews, he sounds like he truly matured , but there are still very ugly, totally impossible to verify, stories about how negative an influence he has in the team.

Looks like Monsieur Todibo has a bad habit kicking off behind the scenes pissing everyone off and causing a bad atmosphere...
I thought something wasn't sitting right about the situation, yet people were quick to assume it was the Manager that was the problem, not the player.
You said we're a fucked up club, but we're not. Just fucking own it, you boring cսnt droning on all day.

Look at you taking it to heart!
It ain't that deep and was more a lighthearted post. However there's not many Clubs that continously has the drama that surrounds ours both great and bad.
From Tevez fiasco, to Onmoyinmi, Bonds scheme, Burnley protest, Roeder collapsing from a brain aneurysm, Berkovic almost getting his block knocked off by Hartson, Bagpuss bungs, Carroll at gun point with an attempted mugging in car chase, Chocolate fucking Flethcers missus behind his back, Moore and Greeves in trouble after going on the lash before Blackpool FA Cup game, Moore bogota bracelet scandal, Etherington owing vilian loan sharks for his gambling, Avram Grant dodgy massage parlours, dramatic Cup Finals, Davenport almost losing his legs to a vicious knife attack, Newton coke controversy, McAvennie and Carroll on the party scene, the list is endless and defy any other Club to have the non stop dramas we generally seem to have.
The highs and lows both on and off the pitch are next level at this Club and wouldn't have it any other way.
And of course I wouldn't really want those nosey wankers snooping on it all just for viewing kicks, I'm glad we refuse to do something like that. Just saying it wouldn't half be an entertaining watch if it was.

The way I see it this season, I think he's wanted to do that but the way the season has panned out, he's been reluctant to chuck them in due to too much pressure. I've noticed quite a few times now he's had Academy players on the bench but probably thinks the pressure is too intense to rely on just yet and doesnt want to damage them.
Casey
Scarles
Mayers
I think especially Casey and Scarles they are very close to playing soon when the situation calms down a bit. All 3 Defenders, too..

Re: Jean Clair Todibo...
Todibo has the necessary physical attributes to be a top player but needs to now show his psychology is up to it. He never seems to get fully fit which may be the adjustment to the intensity in the Premiership which happens for some foreign players. I just hope we see the best of him and he’s not another Demba Ba who then does well elsewhere. The fact that Steidten brought him in might be a good thing longer term as Steidten is obviously in the “Loppy Out” camp.
Players usually get upset if singled put for criticism which is what might have happened vs Arsenal. All I know is we need him to play ahead of Stavros whenever possible.

It would be such a West Ham thing for our Manager and Defender to have a proper tear up in the dressing room in front of everyone, only for us to then go on to having a half decent season. Now that really would be The West Ham Way..

We'll see how good his management really is, if he can manage to turn this situation around. If he's clever he could use it to his advantage by not giving him too much of a hard time, heat of the moment thing and just shows how much he cares kinda guff.
Something made Todibo go out 2nd half to help the Team not concede by keeping a clean sheet straight after in a game that had already gone, so he was professional enough to pull it together enough to do that. We were then told he missed Leicester due to his persistent groin injury and would rather let that recover than make him play twice in quick succession. Now that might just be bollocks to cover for his conduct lumping him, or it might just be the truth and we may see him play on Monday or the near future again.
Never a dull moment following our Club. Ever.
