Whatever the reason is, it's not (related to) Woke, the main thread topic.

The UK has more important things to consider within it's own boundaries, such as a light breeze and a little drizzle.

These are things it would be logical for the BRITISH Broadcasting Company to focus on: as an Englishman, I'd certainly want more information on the clear & present danger that Storm Diggerydoo, or whatever the fuck it is called, is offering to my fellow countrymen, over anything in a tin-pot country a narrow minded expat thinks I should find important.

He 'fucked off' because he got permanently banned by one of the then-owners. Alf emailed me to complain about it. He was genuinely nonplussed and sad about his ban. I was sad, too. He added a lot of fun to the site.

Hardly. He didn't like me very much. In the early days of joining WHO, the internet/chatboards were fairly was new to me and I was not as guarded. I gave my email address (one of my email addresses that don't contain my name) to a few of the posters I chatted to. This was very early days when my forum exchanges with Alf were more friendly. He pretty quickly decided I was Satan but by that time he had my email address. It wasn't a problem because he almost never emailed me.
