Absolutely embarrassing atmosphere in the bowl again last night and me and my boy were completely surrounded by tourists.

A mass exodus at around 75 minutes when we were winning by a single goal in a big game against a relegation rival.

No singing apart from the boring 'irons' Tourette's shouting the odd 'Come on you irons' at corners.

It's truly embarrassing what has happened to our once proud fanbase.

I wish the team would show as much fight as I saw in the stands last night. It's becoming a home game feature now.

After 62 years I think this is going to be my last season going to West Ham. I've threatened this many times before but this feels different, and it's not just that we're not doing particularly well, because I'm kind of used to that. It's a number of things just adding up:knowing that while Sullivan's there the club is going nowhere; VAR, which kills the exhilaration of the moment a goal goes in ; the journey; the stadium, which even after almost 10 years still doesn't feel like home to me; being surrounded by neutrals or vaguely-West Ham-fans who never seem to get angry or excited at anything (not completely surrounded, thankfully); players who don't care that much for the club (again, not all, but too many).Much, if not all, of this is simply the way things are now and there's not much I can do about it. It's the Premiership and it's probably only going to get worse. The worst thing is that I don't seem to care as much as I did. I'm not as upset at defeats, or as outrageously happy when we win. I wish I were, but I'm just not. I loved the extremes - deliriously happy or dreadfully disappointed. I'm not feeling them any more and I miss them. Lower league football beckons (for me, not West Ham I hope).I don't particularly need us to be winning things, just playing entertaining football at least reasonably often and not flirting with relegation. Of course, some sort of European qualification or a cup run would be nice but it's not vital for me. Perhaps I'll feel differently in a few months.

It was shocking last night. When it does get going, the place can rock but night's like last night remind me why I despise GSB for making us move into the OS Stadium. 

There was also plenty of empty seats dotted about at the start so for various reasons people stayed away due to the bitterly cold weather, trains being fucked, disilllusioned with the manager but also the Board. A few around us in the BML kept mentioning the manager will apparently be replaced with Potter/Carrick/Allegri/other and it created an atmosphere of people being apathetic towards it all, including myself. BS just can't help themselves and shut their fucking mouths/mouth piece's which piles the pressure on the Team and manager.

Presumably, a lot of those who leave early are among the huge amount of tourists/neutrals that attend our games these days, who don't particularly care about the result.

Fair amount of empty seats last night. Barely any queue to get through security or the turnstiles. Some of the regulars near me didn't go. TBH as a night game in December on a cold night against a shit team televised while we are playing terrible football and getting bad results, I can understand why some chose to stay home. It was reminiscent of the worst runs under Moyes.

I agree that there were a disappointing amount of people leaving while the game was in the balance, but then again i don't know how far those people had come. I could understand more if the game was basically over but it was very much alive.

Of course the remedy to ALL this is for the team to be playing good football, getting results and giving everyone a reason to not miss the game or go early. As much as the team will feed off a packed house and cracking atmosphere, they need to engage the crowd in order to make it happen.

A great atmosphere starts with great expectation followed by exciting football. Last night the football was ok but no more so what do you expect? When the football is good I don't notice the tourists so much but when the football is average the tourists around me drive me nuts.

The best atmosphere recently was during the 15 minutes when we scored 2 against Arsenal, I can't remember the last time the stadium was rocking, probably a European game. When it comes to playing exciting football Lopetegui is no better than Moyes.

The whole thing is beginning to bore me. Sad but true.

Moyes won 4 of our last 19 games last season... He was replaced by someone shit, yet as shit as he is he has managed 5 wins out of 15 so has won more than Moyes did this calendar year in less time and games, now I wonder why Moyes isn't here anymore... You should be able to work it out..

I remember one game at the Boleyn when Eyal used to get followers and one game he had to go off and a few got up and left to a torrent of abuse.

Also, imagine being stuck behind the Koreans at whl every game especially when proper fans can't get tickets.

What I find embarrassing is people criticising attenders when we are at a situation where we have never had as many people at home games as we do now. Over the years I have attended home games from the times when three quarters of the ground was standing only right through the evolution to where we are now and my experience is that we have regularly had empty spaces and early leavers, especially for midweek games.

The reality is that we have never had a regular fan base of sixty thousand people and it’s churlish to criticise those that were there last night because at least they turned up.

I bet that if we played every game at 3pm on a Saturday we’d be better attended. Sadly top football sold its soul to the devil thirty or more years ago so we have these Monday night games to contend with on cold damp December evenings.

I'd rather be surrounded by empty seats than day tripping neutral tourists who are only there for a day out. Funnily enough, I prefer it when they have all fucked off after 80 minutes as at least you know those remaining are proper West Ham supporters.

The tourists are usually mutes anyway.

I nearly let my kids get a lift of their aunt so I didn't have to take them back to their mothers and add another hour to my journey home but just couldn't do it.

Just as well because 5 minutes after I watched them leave Payet scored a cracker v Stanley and we celebrated the fact we never missed.

Had my kids gone and missed that then I would lost.

We still talk about it to this day.
