Re: world cup 2034
To be fair FIFA have played a blinder in coming up with the multi continent 2030 WC so they could avoid the dreary rotation & get their hands on the Saudi bribes asap.
At least they have revealed the winter World Cup 10 years out instead of about 10 mins
Australia & England should have had 2018 & 2022
Suspect they will never get one unless you are planning to live until 2074

Quietly excited for this.

Roll on the hypocrite bandwagon, where all the pundits and presenters who preach diversity and inclusivity will moan and groan but then come the time they will be out there on a big fucking jolly taking the oil money. Don't know who's worse, the Saudi's or the hypocrites that tale their money.

They can make up for the lack of booze in the fan zone by having public beheadings for some pre match entertainment.

Re: world cup 2034
Not sure why this news surprises anyone. Russia and Qatatr hosted the last 2 world cups so the Saudi's being given a go is no real shock. The whole thing is just a money making exercise, the game means less and less with every passing year.

Sometimes I wonder why I still bother following football and spending money on it like for West Ham season tickets for me and my son and Sky Sports and TNT Sport. The feeling was strong on Monday night, when surrounded by neutral tourists and a largely silent crowd who largely left by 85 minutes, whilst being subjected to a turgid game.
It's become totally joyless.
Totally agree. I am ashamed to say I've only been to the LS once, where I was quite a frequent visitor at UP, but don't know whether it's age creeping up but whilst I still love West Ham, I can take or leave most of football these days. Been reading both Geoff Hurst's new book (cracker btw) and just started Martin Peters one that I never had read before and it's quite bizarre as I feel more affinity with a World Cup I wasn't even alive for than I do with the current ones. All about cash and brown paper bags these days. Mind you at 56 now I'll just be happy to be around in 2024 let alone moaning about the World Cup!!

Re: world cup 2034
they'd have one every winter if the brown envelopes were offered, I think none of these third world football nations should be given the tournament, especially those cunts
