A few years ago I was banned after a very short stint, from the Fighting Cock In the lead up and aftermath to them playing us. There were over 80 pages of comments at the time and the themes were nearly all along the lines of. " We don't give a fuck about West Ham." "Their cup final." At the time we hadn't won anything for thirty three years and one of their punters wrote a list od thirty three reasons why they are bigger than us (He obviously didn't give a fuck about us). My only sin was that I kept showing them that they hate us as much as we hate them. One punter actually said that his fellow fans were an embarassment and agreed with me re the mutual hatred.

Brother of mine used to ref dozens of yoof/stiffs games over at Chadwell Heath (pre-COVID), met Teddy many times and said Sheringham was a Hammer.

That being said, when my brother asked for a signed shirt, he got a Number 9 Man U one, so it may just have been marketing on Sheringham's side.

He also said that Sheringham and (Ian) Wright would always lighten the mood in the ground when they were there and both gave an enormous amount of support and encouragement to the youngsters.

I doubt he'll survive the weekend should Southampton beat them this weekend. Just 1 win in their last 8 matches against Man City who everyone seems to beat these days, whilst sitting 11th (or 14th should results go against them) in the League is tin tack territory at Spurs. 

With regards to Todibo, at least Lopetegui chose to protect him in the media and didn't hang him out to dry if he felt he could deal with it in-house, which appears to be the case bringing him on as a Sub against Wolves.

My old mate from next door who I grew up with from about 2 until we fucked off in different directions. He was a big Spurs fan and when we were teenagers he was was going to a lot of Spurs games. I was not sure about going to West Ham on my own and went to too many games with him. Thankfully I got a bit more confident and starting going to Upton Park.
