Anyone can shoot over and over from distance. Our xG was 2.18...there's 1.86. obviously the penalty skews it mind you but it was a penalty.

Personally thought we did alright. Better team in the first half, worked hard, they came back hard in the second half and we dug it out with some resolute defending.  Fullkrug whilst not the type of striker we all love did a couple of decent things, Kudus was good first half saw some kids get on, better first half from Alvarez....and was a decent enough watch, playing away to the team who on xG for and against are second in the xPts league. Plus they setup to play us our kryptonite....focussing almost solely on transition.

They reminded me very much of how Moyes had us playing before it all went to shit around this time against a Liverpool 3 years ago.

It's a good point. Expected us to get battered. He deserves credit in this game and they all put a shift in.

Play like that with he effort and commitment, as well as maybe get a couple of upgrades/round pegs for round holes in Jan, and we'll end up around 10th and watchable.

Not sure it was as bad as some are making it out to be, yeah not vintage stuff and we rode our luck at times but at least we came out of it with a point and had a bit of fight about us as well as some good chances ourselves? Not sure any keeper in the PL would have stopped that goal from the free kick, credit were its due, sublime strike!

I will take the positives, a point away at Bournemouth this season is better than some of the so-called top sides! Lopi lives to fight another day.

29 shots conceeded ffs. Why are we still wasting games on the useless clown shoe wearing fraudulent shitcunt?

We had 16 shots which is a lot for an away side plus we had more possession

Didn't see 1st half but we were awful 2nd half.  Another lucky, undeserved pen.  Terrible keeping ball, never 1st to 2nd ball, players out of position (Wan Bissaka, Kudos) and another rick by Mav. I give up!

Gotta blame J LO for continuing to play him.

So we didn't draw away from home then against a very in-form Team?

He had no other senior Centre Half to play and we conceded only once tonight, admittedly due to his error at the death.

that's absolute bollocks mate? his tactics hindered us massively when he moved paquata to number 9 in the first half when we were on top. We got a very luck pen. None of the players knew what he wanted when he put Scarles on. Then he chucked Casey on for AWB without anyone really knowing where we should be. I don't think he coaches them, or he most defintely doesn't have a proper plan. Lopetegui is not good enough for the premier league. Maybe Spanish managers in general aren't good enough anymore. Who knows? But I'm beyond fed up watching us play and seeing us shoot ourselves in the foot.

WHUDeano wrote: 16 Dec 2024, 22:19 His tactics and changes made no sense and hindered us tonight. We were playing well in the first half until he moved Paqueta into the number 9 position. On top of that, playing Kudus on the left and Paq on the right while dropping Summerville again. So many errors. Subs not celebrating the goal.

We've had bad managers in the past of course. I started attending as a child just after Bonzo took over, but I can't remember so many obvious poor tactical decisions and errors. When he goes, obviously Roeder & Grant are bottom two, but Lopetegui is very close to worst ever. Very, very close.

We just drew a match away from home against 1 of the in-form Teams of the season and was brave trying to win the game throughout. But by all means try and dig out everything you thought went wrong and focus on very little positives...

Have to say I didn’t see Paqueta in a no.9 role at any point today. He was pretty crap most of the game by his own standards, mind you.

Looking at the free kick the player was going nowhere all the Greek had to do was to stand his ground, instead the brain dead moron put his boots through the players arse.

I’m no Lop fan but credit to him for the substitutions, not something the previous gaffer was good at.

lets give him till the end of the year and then reassess.

Don't agree respectfully, our players put in a shift, Bournemouth could have have been a point off top 4 tonight

They did put in a shift. An usually good one. But I think the ultra-attacking last ten minutes, the academy subs and some strange body language from some of the players at the end make me think a draw wasn't enough for him.

Maybe I'm wrong. So hang me.

Absolutely no chance he loses his job after that performance and result.
