Sports Personality Of The Year
Used to love watching this when I was a kid just to see the fifteen minutes of football.
Nowadays is anyone interested?

Re: Sports Personality Of The Year
Still say Cootesy should have won it over any of your so called dull as dishwater 'Personalities'. Ooh look at me, I can run a bit fast.. Yeah, but can you go an entire Football Tournament as high as a kite, do the running man in just your underpants and call Klopp and all Scousers cunts without battering an eyelid? Well my man can..

Plus going the whole year unbeaten in an 800m race and all the hard work that goes into winning an Olympic Gold medal - training for any athletics endurance running event very tough. There's allot more to it than that and I do think she should have been up there.
I don't understand how Alex Yee wasn't in the top 3 though. The amount of training that goes in to being that good at 3 disciplines and how he fought back in the final to catch the leader and win the Gold, plus the year he's had totally dominating Triathlon and winning Gold in the World Championships too. He's such a great talent but somehow doesn't have the same profile as the likes of the Brownlee brothers or even Keeley has already.
My vote would have gone for Yee.
i agree- Alex Yee can feel really hard done by. Fantastic sportsman and I think that's four olympic medals for him now?
Tom Pidcock possibly could have been in the final 6 as well.
Unlucky for Root.
Keely was just very high profile. Has she done more than some of the others? Possibly not, but she was the poster girl for the Olympics and by far the most well known in the general populous from those who made the final.
Mary Earps winning last year was a joke, but no real issues with Beth Mead or Raducanu winning it in their respective years, although Raducanu sohuld probably give hers back for all she's done since...

So.
Camel Toe of the Year, rebranded to get it in before the watershed.
Seems pretty standard BBC fare to me.

14 people won golds at the Olympics' for team GB.
I would think becoming England's leading test run scorer of all time tops that.

Righto. So winning the gold medal in the Olympic 800 metres was nothing to do with it.
Re: Sports Personality Of The Year
There was a legged trans person that rightfully should have won it for “they’s” jaw dropping win in the Wandsworth School for Pronoun People’s all invitation Egg and Spoon race. They were not even nominated !
But this sadly and predictably reflects the BBC viewing majority a load of psychologically stable, bigots who voted for an able bodied, middle class, AB social grouped, white, christian woman !!
Shame on you all !! You should all be cancelled

You've got to be a bit of a dullard to even be interested in this.
It's such an ironic name for the award.

Re: Sports Personality Of The Year
Winning an Olympic medal is a great achievement but running 800m once to me doesn’t match up to others
That said she was the favourite from a long way out so the bookies know the score these days
Littler is an obese teenager playing a pub game not a sportsman
Understand Joe Root made 6 Test centuries & became Englands highest ever Test runs scorer
He or Bellingham who won trophies with Real & made the Euros final would have been worthy winners
If anyone actually gives a shit

Re: Sports Personality Of The Year
Apparently it clashed on a Sunday with the last World Cup Final so changed it to Tuesday and just stuck with it. Didn't watch it but pleased Keeley won.

Fair play. Worthy winner. She is brilliant.
littler coming second is a bit unexpected but good on him.

Gary Lineker surely? Well to win something or at least get some kind of honor award
Apart from being a white older male and not gay or disabled, he ticks all the boxes otherwise and he's leaving MOTD!

This evening I had two choices....
1. Watch SPoTY
2. Fix the wardrobe door hinge for Mrs Tea
I've just made a cuppa and then onto No. 2
