Bowen
Is it time for him to cement the position up top for us?
It seemed to work well once he was moved up as Striker with Kudus in his more familiar wide right position, typified straight away in the goal that was scored.
With Summerville flying down the left, the front 3 looked balanced and a constant threat.
I'd give it another go against Southampton to see if they can continue on from the 2nd half attacking like that.

Re: Bowen
He isn’t a natural captain but there isn’t a natural captain apart from Soucek & he isn’t a guaranteed starter
Thsts our problem in a nutshell. No leaders no hard nuts
To be honest I feel sorry for Bowen
Our only genuine goal threat so gets double marked & the rest are incapable of taking advantage of what should be extra space

Re: Bowen
I feel for him a bit. He isn't a defender or a midfielder where he can lead with a crunching tackle or bossing the game, the positions he plays rely on the rest of the team giving him the ball. Ok fine he hasn't been on top form but I can't fault his work rate compared with some others.

Apparently we have treat the remain games like "derby" games. This from the invisible captain of a pack of cunts that haven't treated the actual derby games like fucking derby games.
Also good of him to wait until we're relegated to pipe up. Why not do it 4 games ago when there was still something to play for?
I'm starrting to dislike this prick.
Yea I'm wondering about him a bit now as well. Maybe harsh, but there seems to be something disingenuous about him and the public schoolboy looks and voice probably don't help. I won't dig him out for being a shit captain as he was given the gig and not many can be real leaders at this level.
He's been a very good player for us without being a great one and wouldn't really care if he left at this point, but you can forget about the 50-60 mil for him previously touted around as that ain't happening now.
As for treating games like derby's, I fucking hope not or we truly are fucked. Talk about a lack of self awareness, cսnt has overseen multiple derby defeats in his time as a player and captain, including some real embarrassments.

He's like Scott Parker in the final season before we went down. Even he was a broken man at the end. In actual fact, he was so broken he actually thought joining Spurs was a good idea...

If only a contract meant fuck all if a player has it in their head they want out.
That said I think he’s very happy here and I doubt his in laws would want him to leave either. I’d be worried if Salah left Liverpool as that would be a possible destination where he’d slot (haha) straight in.

Re: Bowen
Good points well made
what would be the point in going to Villa or Newcastle, hardly a step up.
Maybe City as part of their rebuild.
Don’t rule out a Real Madrid or Bayern Munich coming in for him similar to Kane, I believe he is that good!

Re: Bowen
Liverpool have Salah (maybe)
Arsenal have Saka
City are a mess but I don’t see him going there
Spurs don’t look like a champions league club
Chelsea have Palmer + a billion other players
Villa or Newcastle would be a good fit for him.

Re: Bowen
Was thinking yesterday that Kulusevski is wasting his time and would be a good signing for a bigger team
Had always wondered why Son never got any transfer speculation but have realised he is lacking when it really matters
thats for you Lady(boy)smith
Bowen is going nowhere
Kudus … expect in the summer he will be off
At a point where our 3 strikers Fullkrug, Ings & Antonio will receive a joint telegram from the King as their joint age reaches 100

Re: Bowen
As for Kudus definitely going in January, I'm not so sure. No one will stump up the money he's worth and I want to see how the rest of the season goes with him still here.
As well as it instantly working once Fullkrug went off and us scoring, another time we played well with 3 Forwards playing together was at Newcastle. Now it wasn't Bowen up top, it was Antonio. However, it's worth remembering that Antonio used to be a regular wide Forward himself that ended up staying as a Striker once making the move. We had Summerville again flying down the left causing Newcastle problems and Bowen on the right. Kudus wasn't available on the day but the right is his natural best position.
Kudus - Bowen - Summeville to me just looks right and full of havoc if given a run of games together playing up front. Brighton didn't look comfortable at all when the 3 of them ran towards them with the ball.

Re: Bowen
Fullkrug is our number one striker and he actually is a striker.
as Miike says, there are too many ‘independent’ whispers for us not to think Kudus is on his way and that will be because Bowen right, Summerville left, Fullkrug striker makes sense but it does leave us very light if any one of them is out with only really Ings as another striker and no natural wide attackers or inside forwards in the case of injury/suspension.
Even if Kudus stays I wouldn’t have Bowen in the middle, ever. I’d have Alvarez protecting the defensive line with both Paqueta and Kudus in the middle being allowed to run with the ball or attempt a killer pass without leaving us too exposed. Both Paqueta and Kudus are willing to put a tackle in and track back and they’re a LOT faster than all the other so called central defensive midfield experts we have or have bought in.
The only way those three work in the middle is to have Bowen right, Summerville left and a proper striker in the middle - Fullkrug getting the nod over Ings.
