Anyone know anything about ME/CFS?

Post Collins Wong - A Free Man »

Had something last week. Was in bed Thurs and Friday. Slightly better on Saturday and up and about on Sunday.

Went gym on Tuesday, but since then I have been totally wiped out and feel tired all the time.

Worried. Would appreciate any input.

I’ve been living with long covid for nearly three years now. Fatigue is the main symptom. Rest and is pacing is the only way I can really manage it. Also cold water exposure really helps me. Just focus on reducing stress and calming the old nervous system. West Ham certainly don’t help on the front. Good luck.

I'd suggest fresh (i.e. squeeze them yourself) orange juice for the vitamin C - base for your Christmas Buck's Fizz if you're into that, then as an additive to a white spirit (gin/vodka/tequila/possibly Bacardi) as your imbibement of choice over the festive period.

I used to find the juice of a freshly squeezed Lime. 50/50 with water as the first thing to drink in the morning seemed to make the day pass a little easier, too, but that may not be relevant here.

Now, this is where I sound like your mum: go easy on the alcohol - don't aim to get rat-arsed, aim to get pleasantly merry. Non-prescription drugs are probably best avoided, at least until the new year and you have your energy back again.

Rest, vitamins C and D and put your feet up and watch the football
That really isn't helpful advice, is it. Watching West Ham is NEVER good for your health.

ME is real and can be brought on by pushing yourself too hard when suffering from a virus. It's far too early to say you've got that though, and it's highly likely you'll be fine in a few days. Absolutely do not over-exert yourself until you're sure you're fully recovered.

Rest, vitamins C and D and put your feet up and watch the football until the new year. If your other half complains tells her I said it's fine.

Since the Millwall slag got the boot, they should give you a bell to co-host it with the other fat cսnt on Masterchef. You fucking love your ingredients, you even have a vegetable/fruit for a name!

Yeah, it’s definitely ME/CFS based on all the detail you’ve provided. You were right to come on here rather than go to a doctor.

My dad has had it for the last 30 - 35 odd years. He's always been a hard worker (cabinet maker and joiner) and went down with the flu. Tried to work through it which apparently seems to trigger ME. Had to give it up when he accidentally went through a ceiling after pushing himself for a couple of months. Wasn't seriously hurt but realised his body just couldn't take that any more.
