Bowen Bowen | Fractured foot

Post stubbo-admin »

Bugger
West Ham United can confirm Jarrod Bowen sustained a fractured foot injury in Sunday’s Premier League fixture against Liverpool. The injury to his left foot, picked up in the first half at London Stadium, will sideline the Hammers captain heading into the New Year.

I think we'll miss that because there is no way Kudus will do it and Wan-Bissaka gets caught out too much for my liking.

That said - it means the likes of Fullkrig and Summerville will feature a bit more. I like what what little I've seen from Fullkrig - clever player. Summerville is a delight to watch, just hope it clicks for him a bit more in front of goal. We'll see I guess....
Happy f'ing New Year everyone. 😕

Since returning from injury he has featured in 5 out of 6 of our last games. He's scored once and he provided a lovely assist for Bowen in the win against Southampton. Holds up the ball well and draws a foul better than Antonio.

Even if he puts Kudus on the right, the twat in charge will probably still play Emerson or anyone else wide left rather than play Summerville.

What will be amusing is if he and his disciples blame any dip in form on injuries, when up until the beginning of December we had been the least disrupted team in the league to an astounding extent, losing 140 player days with the next worst off losing 280 player days and some having lost in excess of 600

Wasn't Kilman his skipper at Wolves?
Seems to be the natural choice if so.

He hasn’t exactly been great this season has he?

Now we get to see Kudus on the right, Summerville on the left and Fullkrug up front.

3 players playing in their best positions.
He's scored and set-uppst of our goals, before we even get on to him putting a proper shift in when tracking back.

Bowen, Wan-Bissaka, Fabianski and Soucek have all been very consistent for us doing well.
I will be proved right.

He’s obviously a hugely important player for us, but Kudus slots into the right sided striker/winger role, and Summerville on the left. I’m less convinced by Fullkrug in the middle. I would be happy if we could get the young Irish Brighton forward, but we will probably sign Callum Wilson on a six year contract as someone said on the transfer rumours thread.

It could be a good opportunity for Guillerme and even Scarles on the left, but of course we will miss Bowen hugely.

big dilemma now. ideally, I wouldn't have given him any more money to waste and no more commission to the midgets favourite agents. problem is, the current manager hasn't shown any willingness to play ings or any clue how to use fulkrug. no doubt he'll still find a way to leave out summerville

Yep 2 months out so back in March.  Caused by a tackle from behind from Mcalaister IIRC? We have been reasonably fortunate with injuries last few seasons so law of probability suggests a few more could follow.

Might force Sullivan to allow some money to be spent in Jan but I would spend it on Douglas Luiz on loan from Juve first because we need to stop conceding so many goals.

This reminds me of a few dilemmas Moyes had. How to showstring your "best" players in a lineup?
Only an injury gave him the answer...

Shame to lose Bowen, as he is the only one hitting the target frequently.

Shame also we dont have a manager setting us up in a way that could make us pass more, but instead have to rely on individual performances, hence more exposed to cards and injuries.

Is this what it takes for JLo to get sacked, or is this where he finds his secret formula?

Happy New year everyone!

Crap news as he was our main source of goals. Still, Kudus can go back to his preferred position and we might see Summerville on the left though knowing Lop he'll probably play Emerson there with AWB at left back 🙄

He's usually a quick healer . Dirty scoucers injured him a couple of years ago as well . Kudus will be in his proper position at least. And this kid guilherme has looked seriously good whenever he's came on . I just hope he isn't a victim of politics within the club. Namely dwarf pressuring the manager not  to play steitdens signings .

I guess we might see him in March/April for the relegation run-in.

It's 1st Jan tomorrow so the club need to react and react quickly. Kudus can obviously play in Bowen's position, but we need someone else to start scoring some goals.

It would have to be our best player wouldn't it...

Only upside is Kudus can now play in his preferred position.

Edit: I use the word "upside" with caution.
