Saturday football

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs NEWCASTLE UNITED (1230)
Newcastle come into this on top form – four straight wins and one defeat in the last six. Contrast that with the hosts’ recent record of one win and four losses in their last six - and a hilariously pissed off manager. And all that makes for an intriguing contest. Away win.

BOURNEMOUTH vs EVERTON (1500)
The Cherries are toying with a Champions League finish, while the Toffees are within spitting distance of a Championship finish. Home win.

ASTON VILLA vs LEICESTER CITY (1500)
Here’s a gilt-edged chance for Villa to move back to where they came from just a couple of months ago. It’s also a chance for Leicester to move back to where they came from last season. Both are likely to take their chances. Home win.

CRYSTAL PALACE vs CHELSEA (1500)
Chelsea may have lost their last two, but are way stronger their hosts. Palace are flirting with the drop and will continue their coquetry this afternoon. Away win.

MANCHESTER CITY vs WEST HAM UNITED (1500)
After a series of disastrous, uncharacteristic results, City find themselves blessed with a home fixture against West Ham. Sod’s Law, innit? No decent strikers and Jarrod Bowen out injured. City hinting at a recovery, of sorts. Need you hear more? No. Home win. Image
Can Kudus be the difference?

SOUTHAMPTON vs BRENTFORD (1500)
Well, at least you don’t support Southampton. Small mercies. The Bees are unlikely to extend such mercy this afternoon. Away win.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs ARSENAL (1730)
The game of the day. Away win.

SUNDAY

FULHAM vs IPSWICH TOWN (1400)
Fulham are unbeaten in their last six, but there are just two wins in that lot. Coincidentally, that’s the same number of wins that Ipswich have in their last six. Trouble is that the other four are all defeats. Best make that five from seven. Home win.

LIVERPOOL vs MANCHESTER UNITED (1600)
One win and five losses in their last six for the visitors. Oh dear. Well, at least they’re below us. The hosts come into this on the back of a 5-0 away win. Wankers. Home win.

MONDAY

WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST (2000)
Wolves are in trouble, no doubt about that. Forest, meanwhile, are on a roll, but not of the bread variety. Away win.

TOT vs NEW
BOU vs EVE
AST vs LEI
CRY vs CHE
MCY vs WHU
SOU vs BRE
BHA vs ARS

FUL vs IPS
LIV vs MNU

WOL vs NFO

Decent second half from Spurs, no boos at the whistle. Fwiw, and I may well be wrong, but I suspect Ange will ride this out and turn it around at some point when players are back and possible signings this month. Being in Europe will help.

And then plays 13
Tottenham better in the second half

That's what they get for resting most of their best players for a load of inexperienced players today. Maddison (who Postenoclue hates), Son, Reguilon, Bissouma should all start that game. Oh well, never mind. 😂

The handball rule is a complete joke.

Would feel totally robbed if I was a Spurs fan.

Wonder manager ‘Ange’ might have Losthisjoblou if they get knocked out of the cup and take a couple more of these.

Think that accidental hand ball decision is better than the previous version of any time the ball strikes a hand it’s ruled out
Its a goal against Tottenham so all good

Newcastle have looked very good & well worth the lead if not more
Surely Fat Ange gets Son & Maddison on
Had to laugh at Karen Whatsit describing Archie Gray in the build up as PETITE

Cheers Coffee,
I see you have gone for the 10 teams higher in the league to beat the 10 teams lower than them.

Thankfully it seldom works out that way and I live in hope, still thought man city were a shadow of themselves against a poor Leicester,  but Haaland does seem to always score against us. It's more  about how we approach it and hopefully not as embarrassing as the last game.
Oh, and expect the fence to feature in one or to games

Spurs on paper should get ripped apart with their inexperienced Team, especially down their left hand side. An in form Geordie side should have a field day. Geezers determined to get the sack. Kulusevski usually manages to bail him out though.

Broadly agree with the predictions in the OP but I'm sure there will be a draw or two in there somewhere. Hope those outside our game are correct though as it'll mean we're one game closer to the end of the season and no nearer the bottom 3

Thanks Coffee.

Early game should be good, can only see more pain and pressure for the big man, as a resurgent Newcastle seek a fifth straight league win.

Chelsea need to stop the 'rot' at Palace.

Arsenal to win on the south coast.

As for our game, isn't that what the match thread is for? Oh.

An opportunity for city to rediscover their stride. Can’t see anything other than a comfortable win, just how comfortable?

3-0. (whether that’s the HT or FT score will depend on whether we show up or not)

I'll go with that, Sydders old boy. Maybe add another goal or two to West Ham's total. As you say, stark raving bonkers.

Cheers Coffers👍

You would have to be stark raving bonkers and delusional to think West Ham will get anything but smashed to pieces and a heavy defeat against Man City😝

So on that basis im going for a MASSIVE against the odds away day win for............West Ham🙃 1-0.....You just know it makes sense.😁

Who give a fuck about any other game?
