Saleh's biggest failure was allowing the GM & Rodgers bring in that useless fucker as the OC. Defensively, while he was HC, you were very good

There's also a chance that teams will use him to fulfill the Rooney Rule on HCs this off-season. He's part-Lebanese, so counts as a "minority" candidate.

After the chaos of New York, he could do without being used as window dressing.

Looks like Robert Saleh will have a lot of interest in him over the off season, after leaving the Jets.

Sounds like the 49ers want him back as DC. Also sounds like the Jags and Raiders might interview him over their HC positions.

I know he has been a HC, and he probably wants another shot at it. It's also significantly better money.
But if I were Saleh I'd seriously consider any offer from the 49ers for now. He could do with licking his wounds for a bit and rebuilding his confidence and experience.

His time as HC at the Jets highlighted some key flaws - almost all of them on his leadership (terrible clock management, poor coaching in the trenches and penalties records). He was especially clueless on the offensive side of the ball. It's unlikely he'll have eradicated those before going back in as a HC so quickly (although he did spend some time in Green Bay, as an offense consultant, after leaving New York).

I like Rob Saleh as a person: he's young and he will be back. But another HC failure so quickly after the Jets could really stymie his career. He needs to do a Pete Carroll/Todd Bowles and take his time.

I see the Jags predictably parted ways with Doug Pederson as HC.

They will, I'm sure, offer big money to Ben Johnson (like other teams).

Now, this might not be a popular opinion, but I like the look of Pederson for the Jets...but not as a HC. The Jets should snap him up as a well-paid OC. He runs the kind of offense that Jordan Travis could do well in (presuming we move on from Rodgers), and he also likes to run the ball more these days.

With Vrabel now almost certain to head to the Patsies, Jets should make the call to Aaron Glenn (DC in Detroit) as a new young HC, and pair him up immediately with a grizzled offensive mind (who plays a lot of read-option stuff) as his OC and assistant head coach. It will take a lot of pressure off a young new HC and allow Glenn to focus on defense and getting used to the bigger job.

Hey RB. The thing in the Jets' favour with Aaron Glenn is that he is a massive Jets man. He was a pro-bowl cornerback in New York, and played eight seasons for us. He's also already worked on the backroom staff, as a scout, a few years ago. If it was a straight choice as HC of either Tennessee or the Jets for him, I'd be surprised if he chose the Titans.

I know what you're saying about Woody. Although, he could end up over here as Trump's ambassador once again. So the new coach might end up having to deal with Woody's brother, Chris. He's a similar character, but was less hands-on when he ran the show in Woody's previous absence. We'd need a good GM.

The fans would get behind Glenn, given his link to the side. But the bigger issue might be that he's entirely unproven as a HC and he's quite possibly the third-best coach in Detroit (after Campbell and Johnson). While he's popular, in some ways he's less proven than Saleh was when he got the job.

Problem with the Chiefs is officiating crews giving them horrific calls in their stadium. I've watched multiple games where the referees have been the difference for them and you can't go within ten yards of Mahomes. I'm glad we're going to Tampa, not overly confident after last night's first half but I think the whole team were a bit in second gear. Need to snap out of it this week

Yeah, probably a little bit of self-protection by a young side that has made the play-offs.

Your game against Tampa is winnable, and I’d like to see Daniels go further. But Mayfield is now a savvy QB who has the potential to exploit any inexperience and Bowles’ defense will be solid (as always).

Mike, I've only watched highlights and I've always thought he was lucky in some of the games, he got sacked quite a bit but that's maybe because the O line not giving him protection, but he was lucky he had some great receivers to throw to.

Having said that, we're still in it and the Rams are next.

On your day you can beat anyone with those receivers and Hockenson. Should be a great game v the Rams, I think you have the better defence
