Lopetegui (sacked 8.1.2025)
I was thoroughly looking forward to the start of this season
Was also prepared that things might take some time and wasn't expecting miracles over night What I didn't expect was a manager who after spending 6 weeks with the total dross he'd been left by Moyes would deem them fit to start in a premier league game And low and behold all of them played absolute shit
We're now 1 game in and none of our new players are any closer to bedding in or learning anything from their new team mates cos they barely spent a second on the pitch, half of them not at all I think it's gonna take somewhere between 6-10 games before we see the team anyone with an ounce of sense would play cos this bloke can't identify shit when he see's it I thought we was handed a miracle at half time when we went in level and low and behold he changed nothing I'm sure people are gonna make excuses for him and say it's too early to judge
But from what I've just seen today, this cսnt is David Moyes in a mission impossible mask

This 'wait and think' bollocks is the drip telling Everton to come and get him.
Yep, it's so desperate and tragic. Potter aint even that good, yet we're treating the Chelsea failure like he's Guardiola ffs.

Re: Lopetegui
This is my fear too. Cooper would be utterly depressing. Dumped by Forest and Leicester for not being up to it. It would be a major embarrassment to hire him.
IF we actually sack Lop and Potter doesn't come, then I'm sure that's who Sullivan's little beady eye would be on, and he would take six months, i have no doubt. He'll feel Christmas has come.
Much as Lop has been a disaster (humble pie Sullivan- this was all on you) Cooper could actually relegate us if appointed. He will have no respect from the players. A Championship manager through and through.

Re: Lopetegui
A day after it was announced he's leaving Loppy is taking training today.
Typical Sullivan!
Has left both Potter & Loppy hanging there for weeks, shown no regard to either, humiliated Loppy and probably missed the boat with Potter because he hedged his bets.
Now I suspect Potter will choose Everton as they are a bigger clubs with a new stadium and new owners who will offer him a proper contract, as opposed to a grubby, classless and incompetent porn merchant with small man issues running the club like it's still the 1970s.
He's managing to make us an even bigger laughing stock whilst dragging the name of the club even deeper in the mud.

If I was Potter I would be wondering why it is only a six month contract and asking for more. I suppose it depends on the content of the conversation Tim and Potter had. Was it just to finalise terms? Was it just to finalise transfer budget and plans for the squad? If it was Tim begging him to come and work for that horrible little odious dwarf, then I fear it won't happen.
Would I be annoyed at losing Potter now? I suppose I would. There are better coaches available out there. But I do think he would be a good fit and it would mean longer to endure Lope.
They should've offered Potter a longer contract, got it sorted and sacked Lope.
I agree. But, if as you say, Potter met Steidten to iron out details of transfer budgets and squad plans, then surely by that point the details of the contract offered would have been known? And if as people are saying it’s only 6 months, and Potter wanted longer (and no one could blame him), why was that meeting held?

The commitment he has shown the Club, rushing back to work after his Father's funeral not hiding from his responsibilities (See Avram/Yom Kippur) to manage us through all the shit he's had to endure like Antonio's near death experience, as well as his Father's continued ill health yet never uses excuses and just gets on with it in dignity, only to be treated like a 2 bob cսnt. I wouldn't blame him if he now walked.
I hate that classless scumbag in charge of our Club like you wouldn't believe.

I am not sure I fully agree. These blokes earn an absolute fortune. They know its a results business. They know that the tide can turn very quickly and time waits for no man. That's why they earn so much as it can be unpredictable. Whilst, on a human level, I feel for him with his dad, he's not the first bloke his age who's dad has passed. Life can be cruel but you have to wade on. Unfortunately, for me, Lope didn't earn enough credit for this issue to be a consideration. And, Antonio, unfortunate yes, but to Lope its only really like your striker getting injured. It's happened to thousands of managers before him.
I agree with your sentiments on Sullivan and the club is a circus. It's embarrassing. Sullivan has no place in the modern game. But, let's be honest, regardless of all the outside factors, Lope has been a terrible, terrible appointment and needs to go. The club have to talk to other managers before they push the button.

Awww, I'm sure Loppy really appreciates your concern. Haven't you got anything in real life to get so upset and emotional about? Probably not.

Brilliantly, West, you’ve just answered your own point fella! Nice work: saved this lot the job!

You've been repeating on here for months that Lop ain't going anywhere unless there is a real threat of relegation, yet on you go.
Re: Lopetegui
Former Paris Saint-Germain boss Christophe Galtier being mentioned as back up option when Potter rejects Sullivan. Foncesca another. Only way Sullivan will get a good fit is by not getting who he wants so beimg forced to backup options might be our best hope?

I do wonder how exactly Sullivan is trying to save a few bob here, is he trying to force Lop to walk to save on the severance package? Or dragging this out until February to avoid being expected to back the incoming man? Or maybe he's fucking Potter about with ludicrous 6 month deals so interest is cooled and he can surreptitiously move for Steve Cooper (who Sullivan apparently rates over Potter). Further making us look like a cesspit that any prospective employee with an iota of self-worth would steer well away from.

Re: Lopetegui
No worries COYI, I just like it to be clear its one man. Brady was his PA and owes her wealth to him so she really is a puppet. The other board members see West Ham as an investment so as long as the current circus doesnt immediately impact the value of the investment. Kretinski and co wanted. a DOF to protect the assets ( losing lots of money from poor recruitment) and Sullivan appeased them with Steidten but as Tech Director only, a head scout with a small twam of analysts but Sullivan has veto power on recruits and a committee votes or this season everyone ( Sullivan, Steidten and Lop) pick from the options. Amateur in true Sullivan style.
He got lucky with Moyes but otherwise his 25-30 year tenure in football on the pitch has been largely abject failure when held up to his promises of success and grandiose talking of how he will make everything great. He makes Donald Trrump look credible !!

Re: Lopetegui
The vice-Chairman is Karen Brady. By the board, I largely mean her and her boss who have used the club to line their pockets (alongside David Gold before he died) since 2010.
Gold's daughter, Kretinsky and the minority shareholders also go along with this nonsense. Why hasn't Kretinsky used his financial leverage to oust Sullivan? They are all culpable for this mess and the continued circus that is West Ham United under Sullivan's control.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Potter tells Sullivan to do one. Everton will offer a proper contract not a 6 month see how it goes one.

Re: Lopetegui
What a shambles of a club West Ham is under Sullivan. It's the same nonsense year in, year out.
So many proper old school fans have already given up going over to the athletics stadium and stopped giving the club any more of their money via match day/ season tickets. I am seriously tempted to bin it off after this season despite having had a season ticket for the best part of 35 years. It's just not enjoyable at all anymore with this awful board.
