Paqueta Paqueta Playing Upfront?

Post GreenStreetPlayer »

In view of this time, what do you think? From midfield into a forward has worked well for some.

They can’t seem to find any of the bodies.! And Man City fate will be known.

Innocent. Until proven guilty. Seems to be course of action.

I think that he'll retain possession better than Lucas too.

This is so so protracted. When did it first come to light? 12-18 months ago?
Not sure if it's good or bad news in terms of an outcome. Does it mean they are struggling to put a case together or is it his side requesting deferral? I guess if he's going to be found guilty it's positive as we are getting more out of him in the meantime.

Lets hope Summerville is fit though. Kudus will need lots of good service which is balls to feet or chest not just long over the top.

Fingers crossed its one of those positional moves that proves to be a revelation and Kudus becomes the new Thierry Henry.

If Potter plays Ings again that would worry me. Kudus or the Brazilian kid up top.

All this is a excellent opportunity for Luis Guilherme and I think he has it in him to do very well.

Selling him now with 2/3rds of our forward line injured beyond the transfer window...fully mental.

More likely Kudus plays up front, but I'd take him or Kudus over Ings.

Paqueta up front? Now we are scraping the barrel. The silly cսnt can't be up front about rigging bets, let alone be up front for us. Just hurry up and sell him for a paqueta crisps and be done with him.

Although saying that, Potter did manage to get a tune out of him for the first 5 minutes. Until he slipped back in to his cuntish ways and play acts avoiding corner duties...

The villa goal was his fault last night.  He was marking their number 4, threw himself to the ground and left him
completely unmarked just before he recycled the ball which led to the goal.

His play acting and histrionics ate really getting on my tits

Perhaps losing the ball up front instead of at crucial positions in midfield will stop him getting assists for the opposition?

I personally think it's worth a go. Some might say this is us preparing for life after Bowen!

Anyway, was clearly limping by the end of the last game so must be doubtful for the cup tie. I’d bench and play Guilherme instead as a wide forward with Soler in support.

We have a German lump up front and a once free scoring striker on the bench. Why would you stick a can't be arsed Brazilian further out of position to chase balls down?

Agree with Mike, same opinion, Paqueta is better in a deeper role alongside an athletic sitting midfielder like a Caicedo, Bissouma. His best season was at Lyon where he was moved from a no 10 to a no 8. He cannot play on the half turn he’s not strong or quick enough and wants to put his foot on the ball and gets dispossessed. He’ s better with the game in front of him.    His worst season was at Milan iirc? He was played in the advanced midfield role and guilty of losing and wasting it a lot.

Why not, our clueless coach is adept at playing everyone out of position, AWB, Alvarez, Soler, Emerson, Kudus, Bowen etc have all played in unnatural positions While we're at it let's play Kilman on the right hand side as an inverted winger?

A better idea would be to find a coach that knows what he's doing

not for me, even when he was at his best and looked bothered, I've always though he plays best with players ahead of him (CM). i know he put a bit more effort in against them on saturday, but most games he looks disinterested and lazy. we're paying two blokes who specialise in this position earning £100k+ a week, why not give them a game there?
