His old boss Phil Brown called him up when he heard the news, and the first thing Dean said to him was 'Listen if I owe you any money I forgot' - haha

Sad news for him and his family, not much you can do about it so he won't be getting better, best hope is its slow but from my Mum being diagnosed Doc did say that its often far more aggressive in the younger people when they get it, older people it tends to take longer which seems to be the case for my mum, just a gradual decline. They call it the long goodbye which is pretty apt when you think about it.
Hope he takes the news ok and makes the most of the time he has with knowing who and what's going on around him, before long he will start to forget almost everything, then the body starts shutting down.
Good player in his day, never world class but a hard-working pro who had a decent career.
