Well that was dire. Did we even have a single shot on goal?
some tough games coming up, could it get any worse?

Dreadful - and shows what a tough job Potter has got to sort out this poor, ageing, unbalanced and injury-plagued squad.

The dog days of Moyes, plus six months of misguided spending and coaching under Lopetegui has left us in a mess. It will take time to unpick it all.

The rest of this season will be frustrating. We’ve got a lot of dross to offload, and some gems to ensure we keep. Until we can shake off poor investments like Ings (on £100k+ a week) then we can’t move on. And he’s by no means the worst.

Mavrapanos could fuck off tonight and never play for us again - and I wouldn’t bat a eyelid. Absolute waste of DNA.

A woeful line up and a predictably pitiful performance. Potter needs to shake these fleas off pronto.

How can that referee twitching to his card pocket every time a West Ham player went near the ball (not that it was that often) yet let that fucking albino run around fouling everyone Scot free.
Perhaps Potter can coach the direction that they should go is towards the opposition goal and that the goalkeeper is not the person to pass back to from the opposition half.

Totally agree, the referee must be related to that Albino Hughes. He could do whatever he liked

We have 5 players out and mist would play. The squad is appalling. No pace whatsoever aside from Kudus and we desperately need a few back to be able to compete with any team.

Potter will improve us I belueve but its going to take time. Will fans give him that time?

I think he'll get the time from the fans, we all know hes taken on a shitshow. However he might decide himself to fuck it off if the next lot of transfer dealings are another shambles.

People can blame the lack of squad depth and injuries and individual performances all they want, the fact is that for the 2nd game running we've been at home to mediocre opposition and we've played the first half like we're 1-0 up in the 2nd leg of a cup tie away to Real Madrid. Desperately trying to keep possession by passing the ball sideways and backwards all the time and acting like attacking is too risky to even attempt. It's boring. It's embarrassing. It's shit. Potter needs to change the mentality sharpish.

The honeymoon period didn’t last long. Luckily, we are well clear of five worse teams, but we are really shit.

Time to play Scarles, Orford, Casey, Guillerme and Irving. They can’t do any worse.

I'm starting to think even an on song Guardiola wouldn't get a tune out of this lot of players.  It's not Potters team but that was a bad set up to start with with three holders (who can't hold) in midfield.  The lack of pace shows in every area of the pitch from trying to go forward to chasing in midfield to recovering at the back.  After a promising start Kilman is looking dreadful, with Mavropanos even worse.  Nothing in the midfield, and I was wrong, I thought Kudus could do a job up top but just meandered around.  At least Ings tried to close down but didn't get anywhere near.  God knows where we go from here as there are some savage fixtures coming up.  Lucky the bottom three are so bad but one of them could go on a run.  How can you spend so much money and end up being worse?  And is the site starting to slow down again?  Bit like our players!

Not start with eight defensive minded/technically limited players, don't you think that would have been a good idea?

A shameful performance, some called the joke line up at the beginning. You should always have a go at home, no excuses. Just us well we lucked out against Fulham.

Don't know where we go from here, have a run of tough games now.

Kilman and Mavropanas are league 1 standard.

What an absolute shower of shit. Nobody comes out of that with any credit. Potter has his work cut out. The negative starting lineup set the tone but fair play to him for bringing on Guilherme, Scarles and Orford. But it was too far gone by then.
Just one other observation - Kudus has absolutely been found out. Defenders have worked out that they just need to get really tight on him to negate him.

Mavboat must be the thickest footballer I've ever seen. Both yellow cards were completely unnecessary and avoidable. 0 shots on target. Can't wait to watch Potter put lipstick on Sullivan's pig the rest of the season.Guessing we'll only need another 10 points to avoid relegation this season given the dross at the bottom.

I don’t understand why we seem to be cursed with getting managers who keep insisting with fielding the worst players we have, even with the injuries we have there is absolutely no need to play Rodriguez and Cresswell

Positives from todays game:

1. Because I don't go anymore, and was watching a silent stream, I didn't have to listen to those moronic Palace fans singing.

2.  Err nothing

When I saw that line-up I said we’d struggle to score. But that performance was shameful and inept. From both the players and the manager.
Yes, Potter has a pony squad to work with but I expected better from him. That negative starting XI was reminiscent of Moyes and Flop at their worst.  Potter must do better or things will soon turn sour because the fans have had enough of shit boring football for far too long.

So now it's the players fault not the manager.

Agree though, we do have some dross.

we are not out of the relegation picture just yet, and that was a real relegation haunted performance.

Potter has to be given time to get it right, but he has a huge task ahead.

This is a real lesson in how NOT to manage a game.
Palace as relaxed as anything in this one. We are at home ffs.

line up absolutely wrong. So obviously wrong I don’t think we had 1 shot on target in the 1st half. So it needed a radical change but he did a slight tweak. All it takes is 1 mistake from us (and we have a lot in us) and the game is gone.

I’ve seen this a million times under Moyes. Under Loppy. Sometimes I just think it’s disrespectful. You can’t do prem games where you manage it in time slots. We keep it tight for 45 and then we start to attack them etc. it’s bollocks. It does not work. West Ham are the poster child of this strategy hardly ever working. It’s why our GD in this season and last is shocking.

go out to attack with whatever you have or fuck off home. What is the point in this?

Palace ffs. At our home? Unacceptable.

Potter cannot set up like that again. He gets a pass as he is only just in the door and maybe wants to look at players and systems but to continue with that starting system/players would be suicidal.
