NEWCASTLE UNITED vs BOURNEMOUTH (1230)
There’s not much between these two, but with the bit really between their teeth and six wins on the trot Newcastle start as overwhelming favourites. The Cherries will give them a game for sure, but are likely to return to the south coast with null points. Home win.

BRENTFORD vs LIVERPOOL (1500)
The league leaders can extend their supremacy to seven clear points if, as expected, they put the Bees to the sword. Away win.

LEICESTER CITY vs FULHAM (1500)
After a highly promising start to the campaign, Fulham’s fortunes have dwindled of late. And speaking of dwindling fortunes, the Foxes are in grave danger of a rapid restoration of Championship status. But they’ll hope for some return today. Draw.

WEST HAM UNITED vs CRYSTAL PALACE (1500)
Palace have been a bit of a bogie side for us in recent years. But today, with a heartening win and the new manager bounce still on our side, we should be able to add to our points tally in an emphatic manner. Unless, well, you know. Home win.  Image

ARSENAL vs ASTON VILLA (1730)
The Arse are crawling back closer to Liverpool’s coat tails, but still lag behind the leaders. Despite having slipped from the exalted top position that they occupied for some time earlier in the season, Villa are pulling back and go into this within spitting distance of the top four. Still, the home side should emerge victorious. Away win.

SUNDAY

EVERTON vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1400)
This is as much a contest of two managers as of two teams. For all the optimism that seems to have descended on Goodison Park, the Toffees remain a poor side and will struggle to contain the visiting north Londoners. Draw.

MANCHESTER UNITED vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (1400)
A win, a loss and four draws in their last six probably doesn’t inspire huge hope among Seagulls’ fans. You get a sense that Man U are waiting to awaken from their slumber and that it’s only a matter of time before their get their show properly back on the road. Home win.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs SOUTHAMPTON (1400)
All the talk of Forest competing realistically for the Premier League title is massively premature. Sadly, for the visitors, all the talk of the Saints’ likely relegation seems far from premature and it’s hard to see anything but another thorough thrashing awaiting them at the City Ground this afternoon. Home win.

IPSWICH TOWN vs MANCHESTER CITY (1630)
On the subject of good thrashings, everything suggests that City will give the Tractor Boys a helping hand in disembarking from the old Massey Ferguson as they seek to return to the top four. Away win.

MONDAY

CHELSEA vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (2000)
Things ain’t looking too rosy for Wolves. The hosts will hope to cement their claim for a European place come May. Home win.

BRE v LIV

I said at the time, and reiterate it: almost any manager could win titles with Celtic in Scotland. Even Lopetegui would blow their minds. It's a two-horse race up there, and one of the horses still has a lame leg.

Easy to look amazing playing 2-1-7 and thrashing Airdrie 5-0 at Celtic Park when you spend 100 times more than some of the clubs in your division. Quite a different thing even going away to Moyes' Everton and getting anything playing that way.

Postecoglou is massively, gigantically over-rated. I hope they stick with him!
I reckon his future depends on the second leg against Liverpool. If they get knocked out of the cup, particularly by a few goals, then fat Ange will be packing his bags. Perhaps they need lopetegui.

Ben Johnson getting ripped apart down City’s left, I don’t expect to see him in the second half.

Yes - I’m deriving some enjoyment this season from ;

- Arsenal bottling it
- Tottenham being in the bottom half
- Manchester United being in the bottom half
- Golden Bot Ruben struggling to live up to the ridiculously over the top media hype

Fingers crossed we get some good signings in, have some good performances and results.

Despite losing at home, any weekend where the fourbees and Man Utd lose can't be all bad.

I’d rather have Manuel than you, you’re an absolute embarrassment.

PS - Manuel has called me a cսnt in the past, the important thing is that we’re both West Ham fans.
Spot on. I’ve no problem with Takashi calling me a Moyes loving cսnt because at least I know he supports the club.
But generous calling Miike a supporter when he hasn’t been to a game since Redknapp was sacked.

went to a couple of games at upton park in the cottee lounge (soul destroying, surrounded by tutting cunts who were annoyed every time anyone with a pulse opened their mouth), and a couple at the shithole (about two miles away from the pitch, impossible to identify who had the ball), yet again you haven't got a fucking clue what you're talking about. I wouldn't go over there now if you paid me, you fucking weasel

Southampton should have beaten Man U in the week
Dominated but didn’t take their chances & were vulnerable when Man U played about 10mins of football

Haven’t seen the game but Brighton are simply a better team than Man Utd. That’s just a fact so the result is no surprise

Yep we have an atrocious record against Brighton.  We are on same points as Man Utd and identical in terms of wins, draws, losses, we are also comparable in a complete lack of direction as a club.

The Man Utd revival ended quickly.

Hopefully City stuff Ipswich to keep the bottom 4 stranded.

Everton couldn’t score in a brothel all season….Moyesy comes in and they score 3 before HT.

Maybe he’s not as defensive as some on here claim?
