An experiment in human nature confirmed.
It's also human nature to brush it all under the carpet and pretend it never happened for the masses to feel better about themselves

Yeah, Elon Musk, descendants of literal Nazis, who has been accused of being an antisemite, and was going to sue the ADL, but was then forced to kiss Israel's ring and says and does whatever benefits him...nah, nothing to see here.
The mental gymnasitcs people are going through is so funny to watch.

"I’m aspirationally Jewish” - Elon Musk
Worst Nazi ever.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
I think Musk's Nazi salute was a fascinating moment. Firstly because the ADL, who call you an antisemite if don't like Israeli couscous, defend him by saying it was an "awkward gesture." Can you imagine if Rashida Tlaib said and did the exact same thing? They'd be calling for her head. And even though Elon Musk has had his issues with antisemetism in the past, they are willing to give him a pass because they care more about anti-Zionism, and the Musk administration and Twitter are going to help turn Gaza into Greater Israel. Same with all the others that are quick to call you an antisemite if you eat watermelon, Rachel Riley for one. Silence.
And secondly, it was fascinating to see the gaslighting happen in real time. It was a case of throw shit at the wall and see what sticks. It went from "only" being the roman salute (which is also known as the fascist salute, which inspired the Nazi salute, so i don't know how that excuse helped), to posting as many images of Democrats with their hands in the air showing that it can happen to anyone, even though they were clearly photos of people waving, not throwing up a Nazi Salute...now they seem to have landed on "Elon Musk is an enthusiastic spastic with autism/aspergers." I see that's the line this site is going with.
I love how people refuse to believe that a guy whose family got rich in apartheid south africa, and whose grandparents were in the Nazi party, who promotes racists online, supports the far right in gernmany, who wants to make the US, UK, and germany white again, could inadvertedly throw up a Nazi salute. He knows what putting his hand to his chest then throwing up "an outstretched right arm with the palm down" (ADL definition of the salute) means. He just doesn't give a fuck, and places like this site show why.
As someone else said like it was a good thing, the word Nazi will now be diluted to fuck. As will fascist. If you call it what it is, you will just be unpatriotic. It's well played really.

Also it either shows a lack of awareness just how a chest thump followed by a straight armed salute may appear, or a distinct awareness of it, he is a self professed troll after all, so when its easy to play it off as innocent, how perfect to wind up the left.It WAS funny in a , 'Oh my God he's doing a Father Ted in front of the window thing' sort of a way. However, nobody seriously thinks that Father Ted was really a Nazi. That's why it was funny.
absolutely, which is why I posted it without comment, the only thing funnier was Nutsin's unhinged reaction

But fuck me come on, if he was intending to do one it would be very accurate, how it it any different? What is a nazi salute if it's not that? You could only say the difference is intent the chest bump before, then doing it to the flag the second time was hilarious, he really leaned into that one.A 'seig heil' is delivered standing straight upright and looking face forward, not looking along his arm whilst leaning at an angle.

I don't know if you saw my post yesterday, WHU(Exeter), but the BBC has given me my biggest laugh from this so far, when they asked their blind reporter there what he expected to see from the event.

There's still an incredible amount of people who still want it written to how it told to them, sadly.
