Could Spurs get relegated?
It's a hot-topic at the moment what with Spurs losing their 13th League game of the season at Home to newly promoted Leicester City and their 4th straight loss in the League. Could they continue to get distracted by their intense desire to win a Trophy as they're still in all Cup competitions, having failed for the past 16 years to win one? Especially as they had to witness us win one recently. Will their injury situation improve considering how hard they are constantly flogged playing the way they do?
Too good to go down? I'm not so sure of that.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
No. Unfortunately they've probably almost got enough to stay up with how poor the bottom few are.
I juat think it's funny that we've been shit even by our usually poor standards and are still above them

Closest I've seen them to going down was under Christian Gross, that was back in 97/98 season.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Sadly I don't think so . Too many good players just like us . But unlike the hammers. Even if they finish 4th bottom there media lackeys will deny point blank they were involved in a battle come the summer . Exactly the same happened in 94 and 98 .

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
No chance they or us go down. Saints are gone, the last 2 spots will be a fight between Ipswich, Leicester and Wolves. Spurs are as expected being shown for what they genuinely now are without Kane, mid table fodder like us.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
they are certainly bad enough, but even when clubs like us or everton start to circle the drain, the prem starts to give do us little favours. we start getting decisions we'd never get in a million years if we were in the mix for a european spot. brand PL comes before everything and i suspect if spurs find themselves in a similar situation they will have every sail BENT to see them to safer shores.
though what is football if not for dreaming? to dare is to do.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
I am enjoying the form of Spurs right now, some on here are obsessed with it, whereas Millwall is little spoken of in comparison. The Lions are in our past and mostly irrelevant these days.
Back to my football shirt question though where it concerns my family. I was disappointed that two of the boys had chosen Arsenal and Spurs but I actually felt sorry for the one in the Millwall shirt.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
I make no apologies for admitting I'd LOVE to see them entitled cunts relegated. Arguably the best Stadium, Training ground, costly Squad, costly manager after manager and to see them go down would be magic. A Sky Sports 'top 6' wet dream humbled in a good old fashioned League full of grafters with limited ability. Would also be very fitting after their failed attempts to break away in to some Super League bollocks.
As for 'Big Ange' and his relationship with their fans it's certainly turned very sour. Regularly confronting his own fans spoiling for a fight.. 's losing it under the pressure and the atmosphere is extremely toxic.
If they don't buy anyone of note before the window closes in a weeks time, they could regret it thinking they can rely instead on a load of unfit players returning.
Many Spurs fans are genuinely worried about a relegation battle right now.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
That's not the fucking point is it you idiot, you said it was a "faux rivalry" where it clearly isn't as seen by the cup game against them fairly recently.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
They won't go as too much dross below them. I don't think they will sack Ange either, simply because its basically a case of who else do they go and get? Poch was their best manager in recent history and although he came close he never won fuck all. Levy jettisoned him. They then tried Mourinho and Conte and nobody liked their style, they tried Nuno and he was just shit and so now they have fat Ange. Where else do you go? He will be give time to get injured players back and then judged.
All very amusing though. Especially when the fat plate tossing twat stated he wins a trophy in his second season. That will be another Spursy achievement when they win fuck all.

Not a gooner, here’s a simple test. Imagine that you have three grandsons. They turn up one day and each is wearing a top of his favourite football team. Which one would you be more annoyed about, the one in the Spurs top, the Arsenal top or the Millwall top?

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Personally I think that every football fan should see their club relegated at least once in their lifetime, suffering is all part and parcel of it.
It would put a lot of the current self-entitled whinging into perspective.
Unfortunately Spurs won't go down this year, if ever.
I hope they keep the aussie, watching them throw away results is fucking funny.

We have this faux rivalry with Millwall but let’s be honest it’s an unrequited thing and nothing like having real enemies who we can play on a regular basis.
Utter bollocks.
And even Spurs did go down, we still have Chelsea and Arsenal within the league. I have the same amount of hate for Spurs as I do for Chelsea and Arsenal.
Millwall will always be our main rivalry and we'll play them again sooner or later.

Millwall is not a "faux rivalry" at all, where did you get that bollocks from?

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Why do some continue to ask these ridiculous questions, surely it's fucking obvious why they won't go down, no?? In reference to what Oxsaw said below I honestly don't expect West Ham to be relegated again in my lifetime.
I find the Spurs/Big Ange situation pretty interesting and noted for the first time he started to look a bit of a defeated man after the Leicester debacle. That said I would be surprised if he was sacked anytime real soon primarily based on three things - The amount of injuries they've had, still being in three cup comps, and to keep sacking managers hasn't proved to be the answer. Fwiw, I think they should give him more time.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
Whilst we all live in vain hope, I think if we were honest then there is little chance of it happening. 3 worse teams in the league for sure and they have a load of players due to return from injury.
Of course if it did traspire that the were still fighting for their lives come May... We could 'Hammer' home a massive nail in their coffin..
Ummmm "like my dreams they fade and die"

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?
They are fucking lucky that this season there are three or four utterly shit teams at the bottom of the table.
