"I'll give credit to Moyes. Could argue about back four personnel and partner for Alvarez but essentially he set us up as he should've and they did the business. 2 worldies from Kudus flattered us a tad... but fuck it, we won 5-0 If I have a criticism, I thought the subs were ridiculous. He should've had an eye on keeping Ings buzzing for Villa and for Phillips to get more game time and cover Alvarez who's now suspended for the 1st leg of the quarters. Instead we get Ward-Prowse as a 10 and Johnson as a left winger ?ü§?‚Äç‚ôÇÔ?è"

I’d like to know how playing a defensive game time after time justifies Moyes game plan ?? Brilliant tonight playing attacking football. Too many good displays to mention. An absolute pleasure to watch. Onwards and upwards. We play like we did tonight in Europe who knows??

"Qurabag aren't getting past Leverkusen tonight surely. Marseille will be interesting for our fans, another Palermo? Whoever we get will be a challenge as no easy teams left."

"Missed the whole game! In Yokohama, not on local TV and then couldn’t be arsed to get out of bed at 4am, assumed it would be a typical nervous Moyes ball shit show. Typical, sounds like a great game from us. COYI"

The White Horse 11:31 Thu Mar 14 Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Sc Freiburg - Official Match Thread - Preview Superb performance but who did we play? Dunno... but they just took a point of Bayern Munich and stopped Harry (36 goals) Kane stop scoring...

"Great attacking performance but I'm not giving Moyes any credit. Had no choice. Soucek and Cresswell still look woeful defensively. Mavropanos fell over more than my horses at Cheltenham This goes to show that in Antonio,Bowen,Paqueta and especially Kudus we have a front 4 to take on most. We needed to attack from the start and did. Why does it take to be 1-0 at half time for Moyes to react ? We can be so lethal why not more of the time? I'll be flying during the draw, hopefully we get Qarabag or Marseille. Maybe Sporting or Benfica as I live in Portugal"

"The draw will be interesting, whoever we get will be tricky, all decent teams left, just hope it's not the Scousers. Milan would be good."

A special mention for Antonio who was on it tonight. A great team performance with a Kudus icing on the cake.

Superb performance but who did we play? We should have won 5-0 first leg (or even 3-0) then we could have rested players tonight instead of now having to basically throw the Villa game. Put it down again to cagey tactics - poor management.

He can’t do this with consistency which is why he’s a busted flush. We need a manager that will set us up to play like this every game. This is why we still need an innovator as manager. Nothing has changed in my opinion because next game we’ll be back in the deep stuff. He’s gotta go full stop.

"Terrific win, and Freiburg must have looked at that front 4 and gulped. I wonder what Moyes will do against AV, who also play tonight. Great atmosphere, well done to everyone who made it for an inhospitable start time.....I'm looking forward to some silence from the moaners tonight."

Probably the best performance under Moyes. Stunning victory and a stunning goal that is up there with the best of Messi or Maradona

"I suppose there will be those, especially in the media, who say that the Moyes doubters have been proved wrong, when of course in fact they've been proved right. Moyes has given us what we wanted, it worked, it was great to watch, and the players loved it. If only he will keep it going, and we may not be doubters much longer."

"Great result against it must be said poor opposition. Good for the confidence for upcoming tougher tests . Silly of Alvarez , though I felt he should have been subbed earlier as Freiburg offered zero threat . Great first goal from Kudus and delighted to see a youngster get on . I’m not really a fan of either Antonio or Cresswell but fair play to both tonight."
