The other way round and Atwell lets that go so Chelsea can attack. Stopping play after James screamed out was ridiculous too.

We look like we have a good shape, not rolling over against a ‘big’ team.

Fucking injuries are killing us.
Paqueta just starting to look good, same with Fulkrug, Summerville & Todibo.
Just can't catch a break and build any momentum.

Just need to hope their keeper has a 'mare, Bowen gets through, and Kudus rediscovers what he's all about.

Interesting choice to replace Alvarez with Irving and not with Rodriguez.

Also, if they injury happenedast few days....maybe explains the return of JWP.

Based on his performances obviously

he came on against Villa in the last game and was superb
won the ball twice from tackles and came away with it, setting up attacks
Emerson didn’t do that once the entire time he was on

while I don’t think Emerson is shit, I don’t think he’s particularly consistent, which is why I think Scarles should be starting
in regards to Cresswell and Coufal, we now have the players back to be able to play 4 at the back and get those two out of the team, Mavropanos may be shit but he’s not as shit as having Coufal and Cresswell both on the pitch
I think they’ll get absolutely murdered for pace in this game

Valid points, but maybe after a good performance against Villa and two more players out he's opted for continuity rather than changing it all again.

Very debatable that. Emerson has a nose of a goal. But have to say I like what I see of Scarles. Great to have good competition on left after years of a aging Cresswell.

I agree about Scarles. He has played very well for the limited time he's had on the pitch.

I also agree with you about Coufal and Cresswell. Both are too slow and Cresswell passes backwards the vast majority of the time. I find that most annoying.

I agree, and the only reason I can come up with is Mavro not being fully fit.
If we had two CD's, I would expect Bissaka right and Scarles left.

Our squad isn't only bare bones, it's broken bones

Reportedly injured in training.

Fucking hell. It's getting utterly ridiculous now. How many injuries are we going to sustain? Comical how the media are falling over themselves to talk about other club's injuries yet barely ever a mention of what we've been dealing with for the last month.

Alfs wrote: 03 Feb 2025, 19:11 What's happened to Summerville?  I expected him to be back after a week or so with his injury, which seemed mild.

Even a mild hamstring strain is 3-4 weeks typically. And no point risking with a player like Summerville who is so reliant on his explosive pace.
