Midweek football

Post Mad Ferret »

What do we reckon for the League Cup semis then?

I have a feeling Arsenal will turn over Newcastle and get to the final. Seems like the Geordies are already planning their Trafalgar Square piss up...can see Arsenal shocking them.

As for Spurs, I think that lead from the 1st leg is absolutely vital for them. Can see them battling for a draw at Anfield, and progressing to the final.

A NLD in the cup final would be a sight to behold. Bit of a lose/lose for us whoever wins.

Yeah, I mean look how well they are playing right now, definitely favourites.
You do realise there's a month before they play again in Europe?

Once they get players back fit and new signings settled, they'll be hot favourites.

Ange son, you make it very easy. Maybe coach your players not to be so shit, that's the best way to  avoid such a severe kicking.

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou says it is "really easy" for people to "stick their boots" into his team.

It sure is Ange, it sure is.

I’d back Manchester United, Lazio, Roma, real sociedad, Frankfurt and Bilbao to all beat them. Especially the form they’re in.

You must be devastated.

Manuel wrote: 07 Feb 2025, 01:35 Lose to Villa at the weekend and the big Greek has surely gone. Being in the EL still won't save him. You can't lie down like that in a SF and I see the likes of Redknapp and Carragher are tearing into them. The Greek has run out of ideas and excuses now and needs putting out of his misery for his own mental health. Fuck knows where they go from here though as Levy is also out of ideas :-)
Yep, Spurs doing a great impression of West Ham in those cup competitions under Moyes, Allardyce etc by giving up before a ball is kicked.

Hope they keep him on past a Villa defeat to ensure they get dumped out of Europe too.

They are to be fair a bit less detestable under Slot. He
seems a decent understated guy in the Pep mould. Basically the opposite of Klopp or Arteta or some fat loudmouth guaranteeing trophies before a ball is kicked.
