Australia was going to bid in a joint venture with Indonesia but then it became apparent that most of Asia had decided (been bought???) to vote for the Saudis so the Aussies/Indos withdrew from the process as would have been a waste of money and the application fee that FIFA apparently have for the bid process.

Not sure FIFA really give a fuck what anyone thinks anymore, Presidents have been stripped of their role, others suspended and charges of bribery, fraud and corruption but little if anything seems to have changed......

Not sure what your getting at? but if its to do with all the human rights, gay nonsense or woman i do find it all very hypocritical!

The West (including Christianity) loves to tell the rest of the world how to live and what they can and can't do, yes, the Middle East don't allow gay marriage, woman have less rights and they still have the death penalty for some pretty minor stuff, BUT we still rock up for the WC and take the cash!

Then we preach about diversity and inclusion but only on our terms, a good Christian maybe all over Islam and acceptance etc but when it comes to whose version or God is the one TRUE version its ours obviously! And although i may not agree that they don't allow gay marriage or give woman few rights etc, who am i (or anyone in another country and culture thousands of miles away) to tell them they need to change to our standards.

and then exploitation of workers, migrant workers in particular, like the West has never done or allowed anything like this, and a lot has been proven to have been blown out of proportion, yes it occurred, just like it does in every big city in the UK and Europe by a small minority who exploit the vulnerable...........

Little wonder loads of them hate us, and yet we arm the Saudi to the teeth and happily take the money......
