I have become less and less interested in football not involving  West Ham. The World Cup is still run by the crime syndicate known as FIFA. The competition has become too long winded as there are too many teams in it. This is done not to improve the spectacle but to garner votes from third world shitholes to retain their grip on the cash cow. This is the system which allowed a fucking crook Jack Warner to become wealthy taking bribes. He is from a country where they don't know the difference between a goal post and the half time whistle. It is fucking laughable that these games are played in totally unsuitable countries like Qatar and Saudi. So inappropriate that they have to interrupt the proper season to even be able to play there. Like UEFA they want to flog the top players to death by introducing bigger and more boring competitions. And fuck the punters who pay more and more to watch it. I shall never bother with any more England games unless there are three West Ham players in the team, which as we all know is the minimum requirement for any England success. In the unlikely event that I'm still alive in 2034, I will go fishing instead even if I have to use a zimmer frame to get to the canal.

It shouldn't, though you can drink in Saudi.

The question should be why have it somewhere with such strict rules..

You can't drink in Saudi. It's strictly prohibited, and they'd clamp down on any illegal waterholes during the build up to any World Cup.

Sorry to be a pedantic cսnt about it but, really, I'd hate to think some fans would go over there on any sort of misinformation. Everybody always does the old "nod and wink" on the illegal homebrews and coffeehouses etc. But it's all a bit of a myth that nothing will happen if you're caught. It will. I once met an ex-banker who was over there years ago, who got involved in a group that was brewing stuff in one of the gated communities for Westerners. They never sold it, but the authorities still came down hard on them. It ain't worth it.
I was recently in Thailand drinking with two couples who live there and they assured me they could.

I think you'd be mental to want to go there though, but each to their own.

Obviously there should have been a WC in England between 1966 & 2034 but guess it appears that will never happen
Europe getting sidelined by the likes of Qatar & Saudi with deep pockets & ‘generous natures’ so Portugal & Spain being 2 of 6 hosts in 2030 is their lot til the next round
Germany or Italy will get the next Europe slot & the behaviour at the Euro final at Wembley will be used as a further stick to beat England
Cant imagine Australia will ever get one either

The laws of football are the same in Saudi as they are anywhere else, what does how you're allowed to treat your wife have to do with a World Cup?

Relative question. They probably think we have strict or oppressive rules. They can't marry more than one wife. They can't enjoy sitting in gender segregated areas. They can't stop people spitting in the street. We see them as freedoms perhaps, but they see them as restrictions.

A world cup where the host country, doesn't allow people to get blind drunk and make fools of themselves and their country? Brilliant news.

Most of the people who I know that follow England nowadays will be thrilled at this news, I'd imagine.
If it was held in this irreligious country the fans could do what they liked. No chance of being arrested for something you said or chanted in a British stadium. We can hold and express what views we like now we are irreligious. Living the dream we are. Madness to hold it somewhere repressive when you have what we have.

Erm, well yeah seeing as it's gonna be hosted in a Muslim country.

It's like if we hosted the WC and Saudi fans were complaining that they couldn't legally rape their wife whilst here.

They did, and spent a lot of money and effort to get the 22 WC and seen by many as the best package! So a lot of raised eyebrows and WTF when it went to Qatar🤷‍♂️ this time around they were again going to bid but a bit more savvy to what FIFA were like and as soon as the Saudis told the crooks at FIFA they wanted it they withdrew, as I think everyone else did, be a total waste of money.

Pretty sure in the end it was only the Saudis who put a serious bid in (may have been a token bid from elsewhere for show, can’t remember) so what else could FIFA do than give it to them🙄
Yep, that's how I read it, for 34.

Mental gymnastics from a druggy. Ha ha

Explain to me why I'm wrong then, you can't cause South Africa has better winter weather than the southern states of Australia and that's a fact.

I may go out a few times a year but it doesn't make me a druggy... And yet you have nothing for you because you don't have a clue what you're talking about.. You've come in trying to be clever with your "FIFA don't care" nobody said they did, they also don't care about Saudi yet you've criticised that.

Yes and as I said , FIFA don't give a fuck about the fans.

And as I said who said they did, again I was discussing why  it wouldn't be a great place for a world Cup if you're a fan... Whether FIFA give a fuck is irrelevant
It's the FIFA World Cup mate.

Nobody gives a fuck about the opinion of a drugged up mess such as yourself anyway.
Ha ha, well you don't because you don't have a fucking clue do you.. So you're resorting to that. I asked Sydney who lives there if he thought it would be a good idea considering the weather and stadiums and he agreed.. I didn't ask anyone if I thought FIFA would. So you crack on

Oh and you care because you've asked me multiple times already
