WHO Changes | From Likes to Reactions?

Post stubbo-admin »

Feedback since we went live has been that 'Likes' on their own are just a bit....KUMB.

I have the option to change up this functionality to 'Reactions' that allow a range of icon-based responses to what someone has said.

🤣 💯😴🤬 🖕🤡💩👍👎😉

We could use emojis, or more 'custom' images in keeping with the site.

Anyway, thoughts below appreciated.

Agree with Sydders, a thumbs up and a thumbs down is good. Logically, if you have a thumbs up then why wouldn't you have a thumbs down? Didn't FB and YT scrap the thumbs down? No need for the rest of them imo.

Anyway, no more chat on THUMBS.

Why not just a simple “dislike” option (thumb down)we already have the like option (thumb up)

Can always expand on either by posting and/or calling them (or there post!) whatever version of “cսnt” Is appropriate 😁 😆🥴

There can be, but cսnt can mean so many things:

- Funny cսnt
- Boring cսnt
- Annoying cսnt
- Horrible cսnt
- Wish you were a dead cսnt
- Ugly cսnt
- Clever cսnt

etc.

Not sure one button that says 'cսnt' can convey all of that.
Aside from the first and  last example ....I fink N17 cսnt  covers all of those 😉

It's all working quite well, don't try to fix something that isn't broken.

I like the like button. It's about the only feedback you ever get and inspires confidence to make more posts.

Is there not a (considerable) danger that the inevitable constant overuse of a cսnt or twat button will render it pretty pointless?

A bit like a former colleague of mine that used to put a red exclamation mark on almost every email he sent out losing any impact that it might have otherwise had.

I like the idea that someone can call a poster out for being a twat without having to start a boring and lengthy row about it. Probably best if all reactions are anonymous though or else it'll just be another thing to incite the never ending and relentlessly dull feuds you get on here all the time.
