A guy in Southend conned people out of 1000's a few years back offering a similar cheap service. Turned out he didn't have a licence or facilities to keep the bodies stored. Packed some in ice when they went to the crematorium for their funeral. Could well be him again as he was a serial fraudster/conman.

I attended a memorial service for an old mate a couple of years back, because his family had opted for a direct cremation they had to wait three months for the ashes to be returned. Wanting them back for some sort of ceremonial scattering fair enough. But keeping them in your possession and giving them sentimental value is not for me personally."
