For me, I think Potter has the mandate to drop pretty much everyone and anyone right now.
I think the idea that this team needs basic tweaking and a player here and there is just wrong. Our whole attitude, the game plan, the risks we take etc.. it's just all wrong.
We cant win anything, cant qualify for anything, and there's about 10 points between us and safety to fuck about with.
We really needs to start again and right now.
If it were me, I'd put in a whole different team for the next game, drop the "names" apart from Bowen& AWB, and just see where we are. If we dont get monentum this side of the season nothing will happen in pre-season either. It never does. Everyone who says, you need a pre-season and his own players etc. That seems like bs to me. Never seen it make any difference.
The teams that do well generally use this part of the season to fix things and get a consistent style together. And this follows for the next season. Seen Chelsea do it, We did it like that under Moyes, Villa etc. etc.
This is the most important part of the season for this club going forward. And its looking like shit.
Fuck off Sullivan & take Brady with you pair of clueless cunts.
3 managers, 4 sporting directors and a massive turnover of players and nothing changes.
Brady was mouthing off in the press before Potter had taken even one game that he could be our manager for the next 10 years.
The one common denominator is those two charlatans.
Wrong set up and selections in midfield first half. I could see what Potter wanted, take the game to Brentford but like his predecessors he did not see we don’t have the players with the legs to stretch teams ( esp in midfield ) who are quick like Brentford and defend deep, organised and hit teams on the break.
Potter at least saw the problem and corrected it by removing Soucek from central midfield dropping Paqueta deeper and giving us 3 in the centre mid which stemmed the tide of counter attacks where Brentford had been given acres of space to run in.
But Brentford defended deep and compact and were very hard to break down. Kudus skyed a sitter and Bowen should have had a pen.
We tried hard but were ineffective. Ferguson is well off match fitness but will help if he avoids injury. Kudus has been found out and needs to modify his game and switch to try and be more of a team player, get his head up and look to assist on goals.
The game went as I feared and will have confirmed to Potter that he has a big challenge and rebuild on his hands. We need 2 or 3 victories to get the pressure off and look to summer and next season.

That was absolutely fucking dire - another two hours of my life that I'll never get back. I think I'll take a break for a few games - it's not good for my blood pressure or my sanity.
I've started watching non league, it's less stress than going to the bowl and I can get out of the ground in 10 minutes plus the entertainment is far better. We could still be playing now and not score.
Need to cut Potter some slack. He's inherited a slow ageing squad with some real dross and some gaping gaps that aren't his fault. That starting lineup and the lack of any motivation was not a good look, but liked that he changed it up second half and good by me if he shows he learned from that first half today.
He needs time. Instant success is NOT coming to West Ham. It's going to take an overhaul, the right signings and he needs to success or fail on his own terms not be judged to soon or harshly on the failings of prior regimes.
Another poor performance. Dreadful in first half. Looked like a pub side. Better in the second but never looked like causing a problem. No heart or leadership. Games go by without any positive periods of play. I think this could be one of the worst sides for years. Absolute relegation material. Kilman and Mavropanos are barely championship players. Alvarez is too slow and out of his depth. Kudus and Pacqueta individuals who waste the ball or are caught on it constantly. Areola is awful at kicking. Little to be excited about. Summer of sales coming up.

That first half was abysmal. Like many have said on here already, I’m genuinely bored of watching our club at the moment: no heart, no soul, no energy. No clue.
We have got some truly dogshit players – we really have. There are probably only a few I’d keep from this squad. Late-era Moyes, six months of the epically clueless Lopetegui and inaction (in the transfer market) in January has left us with a dire, overpaid, old and slow squad.
If the bottom three were not so terrible, we’d be in serious trouble this season. As it is, we’ll probably scrape by. But Potter has a HUGE amount of work to do to ship out such monumentally overpaid and expensive drivel, find us significantly better players, and then coach them to be a proper team that we'd actually pay to see.
There are also some troubling early signs with Potter – including that we’re a shot-shy team, which was a problem he had at Chelsea. But I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt, given what he has inherited. Can’t really judge him until he’s signed some players he wants and has a pre-season on the coaching side.
The rest of this season will involve us looking nervously over our shoulders. We should be OK. But if one of the bottom three suddenly catches fire, it's going to be nervy. We are shit.
when you take into account how bad Lopetegui was that really is some achievement by Potter
as poor as our squad is, if you keep selecting bad squad players as first team starters then it’s no surprise when you keep losing
we’ve hired another fraud who can’t see the obvious and doesn’t learn from his mistakes
Deserved nothing from today. 0-1 flattered us. How on earth do you come out and play like that in the first half. Where was the motivation? Improved second half but in reality its hard to see where we score any goals at the moment. Ferguson had some half chances, lets see how he works out.
This season is over for us, we may as well use it in preparation for next. The poison dwarf needs to dust his wallet off and get behind potter. We need a massive clear out of expensive misfits.
The seasons done. We’ll be lucky to finish one above the relegation zone.
if we can’t beat Brentford at home I don’t know what else to say.
theres a lack of urgency with this team. No fire at all.
I keep thinking the coach will fix these things. But if he doesn’t start getting things right at this part of the season it’s not gonna miraculously sort itself out next season. Form is something you build gradually. I don’t see any big changes.
This game could have been played out with any of the previous 2 managers. Where is the radical change in our football?
