Like many on here, The Jam were a huge part of my youth
Saw them three times, still have all the records
What a great band
RIP Rick

For a while The Jam and West Ham were the two most important things in my life.
its a bit awkward to say it today but Funeral Pyre was an incredible bit of drumming, and his finest moment.
Sad news.

Wasn’t expecting to hear something like this. Too young.
The Jam are up there with Bowie and Led Zeppelin for me as the top three of all time. Buckler and Foxton were spot on as they had to be in a three piece band.
RIP

Apparently he hadn’t spoken to Weller since they split in 1982 and now they never will.
