The media have already started getting all excited over this, and specifically over David Moyes. Remember him? One point separates the two sides, and who’d have thought that just a few weeks/months ago? Should be a tight and decent game. Draw.

BOURNEMOUTH vs WOLVERHAMPTON WANDERERS (1500)
The Cherries are within spitting distance (take my word for it) of a Champions League finish while Wolves are within similar distance of an unwanted bottom three spot. Momentum, form and home advantage together point to just one possible outcome. Home win.

ARSENAL vs WEST HAM UNITED (1500)
Don’t know what to say. Paqueta’s joined the non-walking wounded. There’s a stronger sense of by how many than of who. You figure out the rest. Home win.

FULHAM vs CRSYTAL PALACE (1500)
Two consecutive wins have put Fulham back on course for now, although Palace can point to three wins in their last six so they’re unlikely to be pushovers. Tight but probably inevitable. Home win.

IPSWICH TOWN vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR (1500) 
Spurs’ last win at Portman Road saw Jurgen Klinsmann score twice in a 3-1 victory. The visitors must be yearning for another Klinsmann to boost their flagging campaign. Away win.

SOUTHAMPTON vs BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION (1500)
It must be excruciatingly painful being a Saints supporter these days. There’s really no way to talk up their prospects against any opposition, so let’s just say it as it is. Away win.

ASTON VILLA vs CHELSEA (1730)
Probably the game of the day. It’s been six games since Villa last won a league fixture and this one offers little in the way of hope to remedy that. The visitors have won two, drawn two and lost two in the same period. Hmm. Draw.

NEWCASTLE UNITED vs NOTTINGHAM FOREST (1400)
Home advantage will tip the balance even against high-flying Forest. Just. Home win.

MANCHESTER CITY vs LIVERPOOL (1630) 
The game of the weekend. There’s little to add. Away win.

BRIGHTON & HOVE ALBION vs BOURNEMOUTH (1930)
The south coast is busy. Draw.

Hmm, there’s little on form to distinguish these two. Draw.

To add as McCoist said they chose to show the ref the angle which looked less like a foul. His shirt was clearly pulled not once but twice. Penalty. 

Plus it would have 100% been given at the other end and we all know it.

I think the Everton guy looked like he dived. Probably was a pen but if you look like your intention was to get the pen then refs sometimes don’t want to encourage that.

Waited until he blew a two-goal lead to make a change he wasn't forced into. I think they can play this way now because he hasn't run his starting XI into the ground yet

It has to be Irvine. That is all I can think. Either that or their squad is significantly better than ours was at playing this way but again he’s the one that assembled our squad. If he’d have set us up like this then most of us would have been perfectly happy. 

He did have us playing like this. We finished 6th, 7th and won us a European trophy.

Our fans are just impatient and have short memories. Was the same with John Lyall.

 

Hahah conveniently left out the last few seasons where we barely won a game after Xmas and had record goals against us. No he didn’t have us playing like this at all which is why he didn’t get his contract renewed.

more importantly his task for us was to move us to a permanent top 6/8 side looking at Europe every season. Not rescue us from relegation style runs etc. (that he got us into anyway!)

horses for courses. You can’t just do the job you want to do, you do the job your paid for as set by your boss. He ended up failing at that. As pretty much all football managers do at some point. That’s all  

You and I both know we were talking about the approach and setup to games anyway. Where was all this high energy high press attacking intent and taking it to the oppo and imposing ourselves on them? We got three seasons of rolling out the red carpet and letting them camp in our half and dominate games for 90 mins, whether they were Man City or Hull City.

It’s fucking mental how bad they have become. It has to be something deeper than this and the last manager. Something else behind the scenes. Both men’s insistence on getting rid of Rashford has to be significant. But you’d think the papers would be overflowing with it if it were the case and some of the players who have moved on would have s mentioned it. 

Or are they genuinely man for man just that Fucking bad? Was the bald one really just that poor at identifying players, or Amorim as stupid and stubborn as Lop with tactics, or a combo? There are genuinely only three teams in the division you could say are worse than them in the state they are currently in. They were fucking lucky to beat Ipswich and saints as well.
