In the past he's favoured a 3-4-3 formation...hard to see how we can do that currently with only 3 senior CBs, one of whom is injured. He's also played wingers (Solly March as an example) in the wing back roles.

Typically when a 3-4-3 gets announced on a match day the manager is immediately described as being too negative, too cautious etc. I guess it depends on the composition of the 4.

He's given young players chances...hopefully that continues at West Ham.

Welcome Graham.

I thought Arsenal barely laid a glove on us.  I wouldn't describe it as an onslaught.

Lovely to see Potter completely out-think Arteta and put on a tactical masterclass.

Yes, last 15 mins was a little edgy but even down to ten men you was always going to expect a bit of an onslaught as Arsenal threw caution to the wind as it was their last chance.... They knew title was slipping away.

Also nice to see the 3-4-2-1 working well and that the players all look comfortable playing that system.

Great win.

Seemed like a load of hot air tbh. Nothing that’s clear is that pushing him and stiedten together was fucking stupid by Sullivan. Obviously neither wanted to work with the other. What sort of idiot puts the two most important people in his organisation at obvious loggerheads like that when they both didn’t want to be in that position?

That interview with lopetegui in the Observer today is completely bizarre. How the fuck did he get the west ham job? Imagine 'they' had given him til the end of the season.
Graham (jubilee line) Potter,  is a god and can do no wrong.

That's the spirit.  Keep the negative dig in.
its not intended as a dig its an observation. Our home form has sucked but our away performances have been markedly better. I'd just like us to put a side like Leicester (no disrespect) away with a home performance that follows up on the impressiveness of today's.

Let's see how he can do with this squad and with a full summer transfer window. It's clear some will want out or be forced out. I'm afraid we are going to lose our best players as they will want European football and we are a long way from that. We also have a few that their careers are coming to an end. I dont think Antonio will be back and Cresswell and Fabianski will probably see their deals expire.
Next years team could look very different with more young players having to step up. We certainly are not signing any star names.

Our club haclun unattractive reputation and we have blown again the chance of bringing in real quality to strengthen the side when we were performing in Europe. I blame the board and Moyes who was stubborn and wanted to be loyal to his aging players.

I am comfortable that Potter will do well eventually.

Let's be honest, he's inherited a wreck and has come to a fucking absolute shit show of a football club. My old man is a Chelsea fan and when Potter went to Chelsea I told him that I thought Potter was intelligent and so it surprised me that he has voluntarily chosen to go to a such a fuck up of a club. I am now beginning to wonder if Potter is not as intelligent as I think, or he is a glutton for punishment because, quite frankly, I would say that right now, without meaning to sound too dramatic, West Ham are probably the worst club in the PL to manage.

A stadium that is not fit for purpose. Absolute shit atmosphere. Fans that hate the board. Board that hates the fans. A club that's lost its identity. A squad with more holes than a second hand dartboard. More injuries than Croydon A&E on a Saturday night. A whole world of pain that we all saw coming 2 or 3 transfer windows ago. I mean, fuck me, it's probably about as bad as it can get right now.

But, having said that, and this may be the optimist in me that's fighting to get out, I do think that Potter has the minerals and the know how to get us back up to around top 8. I also think he will bring back some pride and identity. But, we must get the next transfer window right..... But how many times have i said that in the last three years.

Yea .. Moyes's  second kumbing  was GRIM in both results and performances.
We had a late spurt of results and performances .

 according to the Bible :

The book of MOYES  chapter 2.. verse 1  states the following:
"And the almighty  Moysie descended upon us and saved us all from the national league south"

We’ve a disjoined old squad, add in no Jan permanent signings and injuries to Todibo, Bowen, Antonio, Fullkrug and Summerville makes for a shit show.

Potter is obviously using this period (as we won’t go down), to work out who’s worth keeping and who needs moving on. Let’s give him a proper transfer window, then pre-season and then judge him on next seasons results and performances.

Wanting to change manager every 6 games is what Spurs fans are about, we’re better than that.
