If anyone was doubting the progression under Potter, that should address it. As organised as the best of Moyes’ team, but not surrendering the ball every time we had it just to accept the onslaught. Of course we were under pressure at times, but that is to be expected. We probably lose that by 4 or 4 under Lopetegui.

Scarles superb again, likewise Wan-Bissaka. Ward-Prowse very impressive. Should also mention Kilman since he has many doubters, and Cresswell who in a back three is surprisingly still quite useful.

Mavropanos still a mistake a game, fortunately we got away with it.

Todibo was obviously a planned sub as was Ferguson coming on.  Partially with the Leicester game in mind.

Potter said both have to be "managed" back to full fitness and they are being cautious to avoid a reoccurrence of their injuries.  Must say, Todibo is so good on and with the ball.  Just needs to get a bit stronger but that will come when he's fully fit and stays fit. If he can, we could have a very good CB.  Expect clubs to come after him in summer.

Arteta does not help himself.  They had lots of possession but simply could not unlock us just the same as we struggled against Brentford 2nd half last week.  Tactically spot on from Potter who adjusted tactics back to what suits the post Moyes/Lop "swiss cheese" of a squad.

Going to be fun watching Arteta post match

They were the first on here after Brentford, maybe they had an away day at Ipswich?
And they’ll pop up again as soon as they see that. Don’t give them any oxygen.

Not sure why Kudus was looking for the pass to Ferguson on that last break... Raya was way out on the D, any half decent punt over his head would've found the net. Didn't need the pass - we can't get Mo to pass half the time yet today, when it didn't need it, he bloody well passes!  Scarles looking seasoned already. MOTM.

Oh, and the Arsenal guy who failed to pick up Bowen on his run in for the goal..? Bet you can't guess!  :-)

Happy days...

Too busy thinking about how to be smug about Everton getting a draw against a terrible Manchester United team (Everton should have been 3 or 4 up before Fernandes scored too).

Great result superb defensive performance mixed in with great counter attacking.
we look a different team when we play away from that fucking shit hole of an imposter called the London stadium.
Hat's off to Potter what a refreshing relief that we've finally got someone decent at the helm.

I’d like the terms dark arts, black arts, and shithousery to be replaced with ‘weak minded sub-human anti sporting cսnt tactics’. Doesn’t slip off the tongue as easily but is far more accurate.

The tears on Arsenal Fan tv & Gunner Lee are going to be beautiful to watch.

The fans literally thought all they had to do was turn up for 3 points.

As for Lewis Skelly, a poor mans Ollie Scarles.

You've got to wonder how long arsenal are going to put up with never winning the title as long a he's in charge.

Magnificent.  Potter deserves real credit for the massive improvement after last week.  Strangely seemed more comfortable against 11 men, but that may have something to do with Todibo going off and Mav coming on.  Wasn't sure about the Bowen sub either.  Was one of those games where you think just keep the same 11 out there, but it worked.  For the stick he gets I thought Cresswell was solid, Scarles, what a player he is going to be, JWP worked his bollocks off and Kudus was back to somewhere near his best.  Just needs to work out when to be selfish and when to pass.  A minute left he needs to just run and shoot.  Brilliant organisation, plan and work rate.  Worth it just for the look on Arteta's face at the end, wonder what excuse he will have on MOTD tonight!  Onwards and upwards.

Moyseball + performance. The Best of Moyes in terms of keeping our shape and defending well but also showing more attacking intent. Deserved that every bit today. Second half  thought we did even better. Kudus back to his best, AWB MOM just about for that assist, but reasons to feel optimistic today!

Gave us no chance. But shows how this squad is still best suited to sit deep, low block and fast counter 5 years after the initial success under Moyes.  No problem with that away set up from home tbh and if we can get some legs in midfield next season we can perhaps get more possession and create a bit more. That said, Arsenal didn't create anything and Areola made one save with his feet.

Great disciplined performance and a team performance with Scarles my MOTM simply because he belied his years and looked a seasoned pro.  Think we have a player on our hands.

Kudus unselfish for once and strong. A good outlet. Bowen always dangerous.
Alvarez was disciplined, as was the whole central midfield and the 5 at the back, 8 or 9 at times denied Arsenal openings, space and time.

We have an away side.  Just need to work on the home form and how we can unlock teams who do what we just did to Arsenal.  That will take some recruitment.

What a very pleasant day all round,  COYI

Fantastic performance. Fantastic win. Fully deserved.

Really impressed with Scarles. Looked comfortable, didn’t panic or make any bad decisions. Him coming through is the highlight of the season.
