If anyone was doubting the progression under Potter, that should address it. As organised as the best of Moyes’ team, but not surrendering the ball every time we had it just to accept the onslaught. Of course we were under pressure at times, but that is to be expected. We probably lose that by 4 or 4 under Lopetegui.
Scarles superb again, likewise Wan-Bissaka. Ward-Prowse very impressive. Should also mention Kilman since he has many doubters, and Cresswell who in a back three is surprisingly still quite useful.
Mavropanos still a mistake a game, fortunately we got away with it.
Yup. I’ve got to say I’m not worried with Cress back there. We’ve a good record with him there under potter. I’d have him over Mav there every day and I’d keep him there for now as well.
Potter has been good against Chelsea and Arsenal, but poor against Palace and Brentford. Need a win against Leicester and consistent performances against the sides near to us in the table.
