Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
"Just finished The Killing liked it a lot but not really the last season as much. Breaking Bad, Homeland done Was going to do Luther or The Wire next - can you tell me which one is best of the two?"
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
Must say I am two episodes in to Reacher 3 and despite the hammy acting and cliche written dialogue I am enjoying it. Bit of useless trivia, the character Zachary Beck is played by Anthony Michael Hall who was the geeky kid in 80's films such as National Lampoon's Vacation, Weird Science and The Breakfast Club.

Does anyone remember E05 of SE01? . The Farmhouse shoot out. As summed up by IMDB
""Arguably the greatest episode of action TV ever. Episode 5 takes it to the next level. Cinematic Style action and bloodshed that really does crank it up to max, seriously think John Woo or even Sam Peckinpah it really is that good.''
It's bloody good.
Yeah, that episode is great. Far, far better than anything else in the series. You can tell it was directed by the bloke who did the Raid films. He actually has a new film out on Netflix next month, called Havoc, starring Tom Hardy.

I don't think you can do that any more. Thanks for trying, though

Righteous Gemstones is fucking hilarious. Havent watched the latest season's first episode yet but the previous I think its 3 seasons have been brilliant, laugh out load at some points.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
I'd never heard of that but have just looked it up and shall give it a watch.

Surprised it hasn’t been mentioned yet, but Adolescence is absolutely stunning TV. Not strictly a box set as only 4 episodes. The technical nous to shoot each episode in a single take is startling. Stars the ever dependable Stephen Graham. On Netflix.
Re: Tv Box sets thread again - recommendation pls
I've watched the first 3 and it's very good so far. No drag queens thus far!

I never knew that professional football started up North, mainly Lancashire, and that the FA along with the rules were founded by the elite amateurs from London & the Home counties.
Not a documentary, well worth a watch!
Did they not push the recent emerging narrative it was invented in Scotland? That will piss them off. Good.

Roots.
Yea, the English game was decent, don't have to be a fan of the game to enjoy it.

Careful fella. One of the sites resident bog trotters will be calling you a housewife
Must admit I quite like Reacher. Not exactly Earth-shattering TV, but you know what you're gonna get.
Must've read at least 15 or so of Child's books. TBH, they're all pretty much the same.
The big guy giving wrong 'uns a slap. What's not to like?

Yep, she's the best character. I watched the third episode and literally not one plot progressed from episode two. Borderline fucking weird. The three girl friends is just rubbish. Annoying Yank family.

The new White Lotus, nothing is happening and the characters are pretty boring? Looks like one series too far. I really liked the first two before the Swiss pipes up. Hopefully it starts to pick up.
Was chuffed to see that 'the worst man in the world' Richard Roper is in the new Night Manager, which will be the best thing this year.
