Trump will be addressing the nation later today. Whispers are that he is gonna defund NATO too. He is not playing around.
Starmer is committed to British planes in the air and troops on the ground. Good eh!
Fucking idiot war mongers. My Sisters Son is 19 she is worried he will get called up.
Personally I hope this ends up being the end of the libtard stranglehold of Europe with all this European Union Bureaucracy ruining Europe. Looks like the globalists have made a big miscalculation.
Starmer in his speech where he states that the UK stands with Ukraine then in the same breath acknowledges that Europe needs American assistance, While seizing on the opportunity to basically trash Trumps position. Let’s see how that works out.
Oh and apparently the European Union have earmarked 800 billion plus in aid to Ukraine. (What took so long?) and your complaining that the cost of your travel card just went up and fuel costs are too high.
But don’t worry Cappy, you’ll be safe and secure in rat infested Baltimore.
Sorry to hear about your Son Nurse, you must be worried out of your mind. Hopefully Zelensky resigns and Trump is able to prevent the oncoming onslaught.

Yes I can well believe that that is what we all want, who doesn't want the war to end, even if it means giving up land, Zelensky would probably accept that too. The devil's in the details though, If you ran a poll stating should we surrender with no guarentee if we do Putin won't push for more months later then you'll have a different answer
You have no idea. Land was part of the polling, security guarentees like a mineral deal were not.
The point is: it was a silly comparison - Do you believe that Ukrainians have the same will to continue that the Vietcong did?
Why not use Korea? Similar starting point to Vietnam. Solution: Divide the land to make peace.
Or if we went further into the realm of silliness, we can equate the American Revolution. A lesser force beating a greater one (with some help from the outside, like you want.)

You (and apparently Zelensky) want to keep the fighting going, a good portion - a majority if independent polls can be trusted - of Ukrainians, want the war to end, even if means giving up land. My personal anecdotal interactions are similar.

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)
There is little sign in the 3 years of this conflict to suggest Ukraine could force Russia out. They are running out of men and are now looking to 18-25 year olds to join up. They are fighting at full capacity.
Not only is there tons of footage of people being kidnapped by drafters, but recently an entire brigade of 1700 men reportedly went AWOL whilst training in France. Around 50k men were officially recognized as going AWOL last year but it’s suspected to be higher.
Add to that an inferior western production and supply of weaponry and munitions to Ukraine, leaves them little chance without further intervention from other nations.
I’d be surprised if Ukraine can last another 3 years with US funding, let alone without it.

Massively ahistorical attempt at comparison honestly.
1) First and foremost, the popular support in Ukraine for a continue war is nothing like that which the Vietcong had.
One reason - Ukrainians do not need to win a war to escape a grindingly awful existence for the most part. The Vietnamese (and Afghani too an extent) did. The worst parts of their lives are being caused by the war, not solved by it.
You (and apparently Zelensky) want to keep the fighting going, a good portion - a majority if independent polls can be trusted - of Ukrainians, want the war to end, even if means giving up land. My personal anecdotal interactions are similar.
2) It is different kind to war entirely. The Vietcong were kicking out the French and it became a proxy war.
3) The world interest was very different. Domino theory was a doctrine fully espoused by many in power in the West. No matter what you might have been suckered into believing by your leaders through the media, Russia is not actually feared like the USSR was.
There are more but an explanation of those errors by yourself is important before going forward.

OK fine - let them do it without the help of the US. Starmer has just said Ukraine has the full backing of the UK, so unless it was for the public optics I guess it's off to war you go! See you in another five years when this situation is no further forward than it is today and thousands more have died, but hey you get got fly your Ukraine flag proudly (from the security of the UK)

you want like for like comparisons, but most of your examples are regions, you can't honestly be comparing it to Ukraine. you asked a question, you got a good answer, which is why you're now shifting the point.
Had a lot of wars with their neighbours recently haven't they?, Stupid war mongering Zelensky, what a fool for not taking it on faith Russia won't try anything in the future if he just gives everyone what they want now.

“unlimited fighting age men arriving daily (put up in comfy hotels, while the indigenous homeless freeze on the streets”
absolutely bang on.
with a large % of that indigenous homeless being ex soldiers who have fought for this country.
An ex squaddie lived in a flat above a mate of mines place. This was 10 years plus ago, but he lost the plot and his accommodation after his wife died of cancer. He was living in a tent in a local park and got kicked to hell one night and was in hospital for weeks after that.
Meanwhile a Romanian family moved in to what was his previous accommodation.
‘A country fit for heroes’ indeed.

Bloody generous of you, egg yolk freak, with no skin in the game. My son is a soldier, so I do. I'm not quite as generous as some of you lot in insisting on 'doing all we can' to help Ukraine.
That's fair enough, but I see a weakened Russia as more realistic for long term peace, and keeps us all safer in the grand scheme, This last week has been terrible for the balance of power and how far Putin will think he can push his luck.
You'll have to change you're weird egg preferences to powdered soon at this rate, shouldn't be so hard with someone with no tastebuds!

Can one of you lefties/warmongers please explain how Ukraine can win this war without it turning into WW3?
I'm genuinely interested on how this can ever be achieved, because if it's just Ukraine vs Russia, then there's really only ever going to be one winner.

you left wing fuckers are beyond repair (there's plenty of right wingers too that support the money laundering bastard), the majority of europe's leaders are as bad as the communist running britain right now. what these davos filth are doing to their own countries and people. unlimited fighting age men arriving daily (put up in comfy hotels, while the indigenous homeless freeze on the streets) . unregulated price gouging by every supermarket, the most expensive fuel bills in europe. this country is beyond fucked, yet we've got halfwits like you that want these suicidal decisions to continue in funding an unwinnable war
